6 History School was founded over eighty years ago 1919 The State Higher School of Mechanical Engineering (single-faculty) 1929 The State Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Electrical Engineering) 1945 Higher School of Engineering (Faculty of Civil Engineering was founded) 1953 the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanisation (renamed as Working Machines and Vehicles) 6
