With a composite score of 22.1, 2013 marks the eighth consecutive year Cobb graduates exceeded national, state averages on the ACT in all four subject areas (English, Math, Reading & Science).
9 Participation in challenging courses has grown 184% since In 2012 and 2013, 15 Cobb high schools were recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as AP Honor Schools for increasing AP access and participation. Cobb is among just 388 public school systems in the U.S. to earn a place on the College Board s AP Achievement List for expanding access to rigorous AP coursework.

Howard Siggelko and the CCSD Office of Records Management given 2012 Award for Excellence in Archival Program Development from the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board. Erica McDonald, instructor at the Cobb/Paulding Adult Education Center, recently received the Teacher of Honor award from the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. Veteran bus driver Michael Graham took top honors for the Cobb County Bus Road-e-o for a third straight year. Ford Elementary named Georgia National Green Ribbon School.
