5 EDUCATORS DR. CHRISTINE ZINK DVM, PhD, DACVP, DACVSMR Dr. Christine Zink obtained her DVM and PhD from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has been a consultant in canine sports medicine and rehabilitation since 1993 and is the author of several books on canine health. Her latest achievement being the co-authored Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Text with Dr Van Dyke. Dr. Zink was one of 13 veterinarians voted by her colleagues as a charter member of the American Collage of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, the newest specialty in veterinary medicine. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since its inception in April of 2010 and also serves on the Credentials and Residency Committee of the ACVSMR. Dr. Zink has been lecturing nationally and internationally on the topic of canine sports medicine for over 20 years and her teaching style is widely acclaimed. She was named 2009 Outstanding Woman Veterinarian by the Association for Women Veterinarian Foundation. Dr. Zink teaches Canine Sports Medicine for the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Dr Zink is also Professor and Director of the Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. DR. JANET B. VAN DYKE DVM, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, CCRT, CEO, Canine Rehabilitation Institute A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Janet completed her internship and surgical residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in Practicing orthopedics and sports medicine, Dr. Van Dyke saw many canine patients that could benefit from rehabilitation therapy. In 2002, she founded the Canine Rehabilitation Institute, Inc. Dr. Van Dyke lectures nationally and internationally and consults regularly with state veterinary and physical therapy boards and societies on legislature issues related to veterinary rehabilitation. Janet is the co-author of the widely acclaimed texbook Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Van Dyke is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
