2 Offinn AS who are we? Offinn was first established in 1992 and today we have a wide network of furniture retailers throughout Norway. In 1997 we formed a separate corporation - Offinn AS. The company is owned by Grande Trevare AS, one of Norways largest and most experienced manufacturers of school furniture. We specialize in furniture for schools and kindergardens. Our product catalog is published every two years and includes a wide range of products for public furnishing. We cooperate with over 40 suppliers which of the majority produce their products in Norway. Offinn AS also focuses on product development, and is previously supported by Innovation Norway and the Research Council of Norway. In cooperation with Norwegian designers we have developed new products especially designed for school environments. Our administration and showroom is located in Vestnes, in the county of Møre og Romsdal. Our retailers are represented in every county of Norway, and they all sell our range of products. Together we are Offinn. Our significant distribution of school furniture shows that we are a leading company in the educational market.

6 Business Idea «Through quality, good design and ergonomic solutions we strive to be an important initiator in the development of future school environments. Through our network of retailers we ll promote a wide ranged collection of furniture for the educational sector.» Why? How? The owner of Offinn AS has produced and distributed school furniture for over 60 years. The market has for several decades been dominated by static furniture without any thoughts for the children's physical needs and preferences. To change this, we need to participate in the development of educational institutions, and provide furniture with features and functions that makes the school environment attractive a good place to be! Through our sales concept, we simplify the distribution of school furniture, a system that benefits our customers and retailers.. From our administration in Vestnes, we develop and promote a complete collection of products from both Norwegian and foreign suppliers and producers. These products are carefully selected, with qualities especially suitable for school and kindergarden. The Offinn Catalogue is our most important publication channel, and is published every two years. Our network of independent retailers offer these products, and give personal service to customers in their area. The future school has smart and functional furniture that generates learning desire, good health and well-being. We need to emphasize the importance of quality furniture, with good features that appeals and gives the user a good working environment. We must think forward and initiate product development when there is lack of certain products in the school market. We believe that a proper study and working environment is just as important for young children as it is for grown-ups. Good environment affects us all! We want to offer products that are valuable and that makes students feel well in school. Our vision is to provide furniture for improved learning! 8 Quality We want to offer long life furniture and products that are resistant and sustainable! To reduce the amount of resources spent in public procurement we need to think green! In our collection, each product is selected to meet our quality standards. Test reports and certificates assures that the products meet the standards of quality and safety. Still, you can recognize good quality furniture by looking for the right details and features, construction, surfaces and materials. Quality is not always visible! Offinn AS has long experience with product deliveries to schools and kindergardens. This has given us useful an important knowledge and information about what really meets the standards in a tough school environment.

9 Environment We know that chemicals and resources used by our suppliers, do not harm the environment. We must avoid promoting use of materials that are not recyclable and we have to be conscious of greenhouse gas emissions caused by transportation of goods. We can reduce unnecessary consumption by looking at our own daily habits. We realize our responsibility for the future generations and want to make an effort to protect our environmental heritage. Our most important initiative, is committing only using suppliers that have a good environmental profile - both regarding production and distribution. By demanding HSE and environmental standards, our suppliers will strive to deliver ethical and environment friendly products. Offinn is a member of Green Point Norway which means we commit ourselves to urge our suppliers to join the Green Dot. When selecting suppliers, we set standards regarding packing of products. The packaging should consist of a recyclable materials only, and the company should have a recycling system for their packaging waste. Offinn is also Eco-Lighthouse Certified. We take the responsibility of practicing and contributing towards a sustainable future. We are committed to keep a strong focus on environmental etichs including our suppliers.

10 Suppliers Our suppliers are producers specialized in different areas. These have long experience in providing products of high quality. The majority are Norwegian producers, the rest are from various countries. We have collaborated with these for several years and demand that they meet our standards regarding HSE and environmental ethics.

11 Collection The collection in Offinn has been developed especially for furnishing of schools and kindergardens. Still, the collection also includes a rich selection of furniture within several product groups. The products are carefully selected by the criteria's of quality, good design and green thinking. 12 Product Development In cooperation with experienced designers, we initiate and develope new products when there are certain needs in the school market. As an initiator we need to show how good quality furniture can lift the school environment to its full potensial. We strive to create appealing products with improved functions and possibilities. In our design process we use independent designers with long experience and different areas of expertise, such as ergonomics, work situations, interior systems, industrial components and methodical product developement. When testing new products we have also involved our framework agreement partners. This way we can learn about user needs and issues in a better way. During several years we have established contact with Innovation Norway and The Research Council of Norway. Several of our projects has been supported by these two Government Institutions.

In our design process we use independent designers with long experience and different areas of expertise, such as ergonomics, work situations, interior systems, industrial components and methodical product developement.
