Assessment Data PCC 799: Interdisciplinary Seminar: In this culminating course of the program students over the course of the semester meet in small group seminar classes to prepare, write, critique and revise a five chapter seminal paper based on the structure and content of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) member level examination. In this paper students must present their spiritual foundations, core psychological approach(es) and a clinical case report and apply the first two areas to an analysis of the case and their work within in it. In the final chapter the student explores his/her own growth over the course of the program with focus on the work of the final semester in particular. This final project is assessed through a number of media: 1. By interdisciplinary instructors and peers in the small group seminar setting; 2. Through the drafts and revisions, feedback and sharing that take place in the sessions; 3. In the completed draft of the paper which is submitted pre-bound to members of the department faculty; 4. In an interdisciplinary interview with two faculty members on the final work of the paper. The student receives both rated and narrative feedback on paper and process from instructors using AAPC form; 5.
