3 Paris Pre- or Post-Trip Extension The "City of Light" dazzles visitors with art treasures admired through the centuries along with unrivaled shopping and dining options. Just south of Paris, the grandiose palace of Versailles reflects the opulence of the day in its resplendent Hall of Mirrors. Duration: 5 days / 4 nights Daily Itinerary Day 1: Arrive Paris, France Upon arrival in Paris, you proceed through Customs and Immigration formalities. You are then met and transferred privately to your hotel. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure or begin exploring the City of Light. 4 Day 3: Paris / Versailles / Paris Set off today for Versailles by private vehicle with your guide and driver. A private twohour tour offers an opportunity to admire the palace of the great Sun King Louis XIV. You will also have time to stroll through the decorative gardens. Return to Paris by private vehicle. Alternatively, return to Paris by private helicopter. From your comfortable VIP seating on board, the forty five minute flight takes in unspoiled views of Paris and its most beautiful monuments including the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Montparnasse Tower, Invalides, the National Library, Tuileries, Versailles Palace and its gardens. Return to your hotel at the end of your sightseeing. The evening is free at leisure. From its most famous symbol Big Ben to the colorful Beefeaters of the Tower of London, it is a grand mix of old world tradition and international diversity. Duration: 5 days / 4 nights Daily Itinerary Day 1: Arrive London, England After clearing customs at Heathrow Airport, you are met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. After check in, the remainder of your day is at leisure to settle in to this historic city on the River Thames. Accommodations: The Marylebone Hotel (Deluxe room) At the epicenter of Marylebone Village, a bustling local neighborhood, with an abundance of independent boutiques, fine restaurants and cool bars and surrounded by some of the city's most sought after residential property, this is an address which has everything to offer the visitor to London. From the castle ramparts, you have excellent views of famous Eton College, an independent school for boys. Return to London for an afternoon of independent exploration. 9 Day 4: London / Greenwich / London Start your day with a public cruise on the River Thames, enjoying a new perspective of all the major landmarks on route to Greenwich. In Greenwich, explore the famous Cutty Sark, the world's sole surviving tea clipper ship. Board the iconic ship and experience the interactive displays which evoke the sights, smells and sounds of its astounding history. Enjoy lunch at leisure and perhaps a stroll in the local market (except on Mondays). In the afternoon, visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park. This observatory was home to some of the key scientific discoveries that changed our understanding of time and space. In the Meridian Courtyard, you can stand with a foot in each hemisphere at Longitude 0 0' 0", and enjoy wonderful views out over the whole of London. 13 Day 3: Penedes Begin a day of sightseeing with your local guide and private vehicle and visit Penedes, the premier wine making region of Catalonia in Northeast Spain. You will visit one of the most prestigious wine estates in Penedes, a family owned winery where you will enjoy a wine tasting of a few of their varietals. Continue your wine tasting at another winery where the famed cava, sparkling wine is produced. Your day also includes a visit to the Vilafranca s Wine Museum of Penedes which displays interesting archaeological evidence of a long history of wine production. Return to your hotel.
