These couplings or push-fit connections have to make sure that the pipes stay connected. Over the years traffic loads, building activities and ground movements can cause these connections to leak. The WAL/V Single is developed for repairing leaking (ductile) cast iron, steel and PVC bell joints. The WAL/V Double is used for repairing leaking (asbestos) cement couplings. Thanks to the adjustable segments the WAL/V can be widely used in the sizes DN80 up to and including DN700. 5 The solution for leaking bell joints and sleeve joints Under pressure repair The WAL/V offers a solution for repairing leaking bell joints and sleeve joints in existing water and gas pipelines. With the WAL/V a repair can be done under pressure. There is no need to cut out the leaking connection and empty a long pipe line. Repairs can be done easily and in a very short time. The supply of water or gas is not interrupted and therefore the work can be done most cost-efficiently. The repair is not noticed by the end user because supply of water or gas continues uninterruptedly. Reliable and safe repair The WAL/V is a reliable and safe repair solution. When the segments are placed around the pipe and the nuts are tightened, the rubber seal is pushed into the socket and seals the joint completely. The WAL/V can be used when other repair solutions are not possible and it will give you peace of mind. Long term solution The WAL/V has an excellent corrosion protection thanks to Resicoat epoxy powder coating. This corrosion protection makes the WAL/V a long term solution. It is resistant to various environmental influences and is suitable for both under and aboveground use.
