In 2004 Toshiba launched several new award winning R410A product ranges with superior energy efficiency and indoor air quality features; Toshiba s record of innovation continued through 2012, with the introduction of the worlds most energy efficient heat pump VRF product, the new SMMSI, maintaining this record with the introduction of our Toshiba Estia air to water heat pump system, having a COP of The training programme for 2012 contains eight primary courses, these being; An introduction to Toshiba Products (Sales Based) One day A complete course covering Residential and Light Commercial Products - One day A complete course covering VRF Products - One day (Covering basic control options) Control options, selection and installation - One day Air to Water Product, Design and application - Half day Air to Water Product, Installation & Commissioning - Half day Air to Water Products, Service & Maintenance - Half day Product update (Technical refresher course) - Half day In addition to the Core courses outlined above we can offer a wide range of speciality course, details can be found within this publication. All of our courses have been devised to ensure that we offer all our customers the product and development training they need. It also confirms our support to the industry in ensuring that high levels of professionalism are encouraged and maintained. Delegates attending these courses will receive electronic copies of the presentation material, course notes, technical manuals, (Installation, Owners and Service for our current range of equipment), a certificate of achievement / personal identification card, refreshments and lunch all free of charge. 3 Module 1 An introduction to the complete range Toshiba Air Conditioning and air to water systems This module is suitable for anyone who is not familiar with the latest Toshiba air conditioning and air to water R410A products. Air to Water Range. Estia 8kW to 16kW Residential Range. Daisekai range of single and multi splits. Single systems, high wall - AvAnt, Bi-Flow Console Multi split systems, high wall, Bi-Flow, ducted and 600 x 600 cassettes.. Commercial Range. Digital Inverter from 5.6kW to 28kW Super Digital Inverter from 4kW to 14kW VRF Range. MINI-SMMS, two pipe heat pump, 4 hp(12.5kw),5 hp(16kw),6 hp(18kw) SMMSi two pipe heat pump, 5 hp (16kW) 48 hp (148kW) SHRM, three pipe heat recovery, 8 hp (25kW) 30 hp (94.5kW) Over 86 indoor units compatible with the three options above. Control options Module 2 An in-depth course covering Installation, Commissioning, Service and Maintenance of the Toshiba residential and Light Commercial R410A products This module is theory based and is aimed at installation, commissioning and service engineers, with a prior knowledge of air conditioning products and the principles of air conditioning. This course covers; Product overview Refrigeration circuitry, R410A refrigerant and current legislation, pressure testing, dehydration and refrigerant charging. Electrical circuitry, including Inverter technology Commissioning Service and maintenance requirements Component layout and faultfinding including data retrieval. Overview of Control options, including ancillary devices. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded

4 Module 3 An in-depth course on Toshiba VRF equipment, This module is theory based and is aimed at installation, commissioning and service engineers, with a prior knowledge of VRF air conditioning equipment and the principles of air conditioning. Product overview Installation, Refrigeration circuitry, R410A refrigerant and current legislation, pressure testing, dehydration and refrigerant charging. Electrical installation. Commissioning the systems. Service and maintenance requirements. Data retrieval and service functions. Component testing Fault finding including fault codes Overview of Control options and ancillary controls. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination, a certificate of achievement will be awarded Training will commence at 9.30 am and conclude at 4.30 pm. Course materials and refreshments will be provided free-of-charge. Module 4 An in-depth course covering Selection, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of the Toshiba Air Conditioning Control Options This module is theory based and is aimed at installation, commissioning and service engineers, with a prior knowledge of air conditioning products and the principles of air conditioning. This course covers; Product overview Options available within the Controls Group Installation Commissioning Maintenance requirements Component layout and faultfinding including data retrieval. Ancillary devices. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded

5 Module 5 An in-depth course covering Selection, Application and Design for the Estia Air to Water product range This module is theory based and is aimed at design and application engineers utilising our Air to Water product range. Please note Load calculations are NOT INCLUDED. This course covers; Product overview Options available Design and Selection Worked examples Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded Training will commence at 9.30 am and conclude at pm. Course materials and refreshments will be provided free-of-charge Module 6 An in-depth course covering Installation and Commissioning of Toshiba Air to Water products This module is theory based and is aimed at installation and commissioning engineers, with a prior knowledge of air conditioning, the principles of air conditioning and domestic / light commercial heating systems. This course covers; Product overview Applicable Legislation / Regulations Installation Commissioning Component layout and data retrieval. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded Training will commence at 1.00 pm and conclude at 4.30 pm. Course materials and refreshments will be provided free-of-charge

6 Module 7 An in-depth course covering Service and Maintenance of Toshiba Air to Water products This module is theory based and is aimed at service and maintenance engineers, with a prior knowledge of air conditioning, the principles of air conditioning and domestic / light commercial heating systems. This course covers; Product overview Service operation Maintenance requirements Component layout and faultfinding including data retrieval. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded Training will commence at 9.30 am and conclude at pm. Course materials and refreshments will be provided free-of-charge Module 8 A Refresher course covering new products which have joined the RAS, RAV and VRF product ranges during 2012 This module is theory based and is aimed at installation, commissioning and service engineers, who have attended Toshiba training courses covering Digital Inverter and VRF products in the last 5 years. This course covers; What is New in the RAS, RAV and VRF product range s Additional information relating to installation Additional information relating to commissioning Component layout and data retrieval. Fault finding including fault codes Overview of control options and how to set them. Upon satisfactory completion of a written examination a certificate of achievement will be awarded Training will commence at 1.00 pm and conclude at 4.30 pm. Course materials and refreshments will be provided free-of-charge

7 In addition to our Core courses for 2012, Toshiba Air Conditioning and our Distribution Partners, can offer on request the following courses, a minimum quantity of delegates would be required, details available on request. An introduction to the Toshiba air conditioning VRF range of products including the correct operation of the Toshiba VRF selection software. This course includes the basics of designing a VRF installation, selection and application of equipment. LOAD CALCULATION IS NOT INCLUDED Course reference R410A Design An in-depth course on Commissioning, Service and maintenance of the Toshiba R407C split range of air conditioning products. This course is theory based and is aimed at, service and maintenance engineers with a prior knowledge of air conditioning. This course is theory based and is aimed at, service and maintenance engineers with a prior knowledge of air conditioning.
