3 - Diploma in Accounting and Business The - Diploma in Accounting and Business is awarded on the completion of the exams for Accounting in Business (FAB), (FMA), Financial Accounting (FFA). It is broadly equivalent to HND level/equivalent to the first year of a degree. - Intermediate Certificate in Financial and The Intermediate Certificate is the second step in ACCA s Foundations in Accountancy suite of qualifications. They must be 16 years old and above. Route 2: Meeting the minimum entry requirements for the ACCA qualification Students who have three (3) years of relevant work experience may study for the - Diploma in Accounting and Business as part of the ACCA qualification. Students who choose this route will need a minimum of three GCE O Level and two GCE A Levels in five separate subjects including Math and English or their equivalent. To achieve the Diploma in Accounting and Business, you will need to register as a student in Foundations in Accountancy with ACCA and complete: Three exams: Accountant in Business (FAB), (FMA) and Financial Accounting (FFA) A professionalism and ethics module called Foundations in Professionalism. 4 International Students Studying in LSBF Before you begin your study journey with LSBF in Singapore, you will need to be registered as an ACCA member. All international students are required to enrol a minimum of 3 papers each* for tuition and revision class per intake. To register as an ACCA member, please visit Study Time All international students are required to attend classes at LSBF premises for a minimum of 5 hours per day, from Monday to Friday. Occasionally, there may also be a need to attend some evening and/or weekend sessions, especially nearing the exams when courses become more intensive. Refund Policy Fee Protection Under The Insurance Scheme (FPS Insurance Scheme) The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) serves to protect students fees in the event a private education institution is unable to continue operation due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. The FPS also protects students, if the private education institution fails to pay penalties or return fees to the students arising from judgment made against it by the Singapore courts. The FPS is applicable to all students regardless of nationality and the type of passes held by the students, i.e. dependent s pass, student s pass, work permit etc. Visit for more information. Medical Insurance LSBF has appointed AXA Insurance as the medical insurance provider. It is compulsory for all students to have medical insurance coverage for their hospitalisation and related medical treatments throughout their course duration. Singapore citizens, permanent citizens and international students (not on the Student Pass) and Students under corporate sponsorship or corporate agreement between the private education institution and their sponsor organisations can be exempted from the medical insurance scheme if they can show proof that they are already covered by their own medical insurance. Do note out of goodwill, LSBF would provide student with maximum refund of 100% should the student withdraw within 7 working days after signing the student contract.
