Additionally it provides 70 scholarship search databases, GPA and student loan calculators, a guide to the FAFSA, and helpful articles for college-bound students. Raise.me is an excellent website that helps students receive scholarships from colleges for their achievements in high school. For more information, go to: The following link is a scholarship search tool that offers students the opportunity to review a list of over 200 scholarships that can be filtered by award amount, deadline, subject area, and more. Student-View Scholarship Program: This program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college, or career school. It is quick and easy to apply. No minimum SAT/ACT score or GPA, no essay and no lengthy application forms. Log on to and complete a minute application survey about colleges in your area. The scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications. The winners will be announced in May. For more information about the company, log on to or contact them at The Joseph Kimutis Scholarship: This scholarship is for a South Fayette senior who has demonstrated a strong character through acts of kindness to other students and/or the community. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and complete a 500 word essay. The deadline is April 15, Applications are available in the guidance office.

2 The Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club Scholarship: Two South Fayette seniors will be selected by the Rotarians to be honored with a scholarship and luncheon. The deadline is April 15, The Pennsylvania Municipal League Senior Essay Scholarship Contest: This scholarship is for high school seniors who plan to attend a post-secondary institution after high school. Two scholarships will be awarded in the amounts of $2,000 and $1,000. The winners will receive an opportunity to attend an annual summit meeting in Lancaster, PA (all expenses paid). Applicants must complete an essay entitled Civics and You in order to compete for this scholarship. The essay is due in the guidance office on Monday, May 2, Applications are available in the guidance office. The B. Davis Scholarship: This scholarship is worth $1,000. The deadline is May 23, For more information about this scholarship and to apply, go to: The Kiwanis Club of Pittsburgh Foundation: Three scholarships are being offered to high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership qualities through community service activities. Applicants must show both leadership experience and financial need. Applications are available at: The deadline is April 22, The Beulah Frey Environmental Scholarship: This scholarship is for students planning to attend college to study in an environmentally-related field. Applications can be accessed directly from their website: The deadline is May 6, Out of the Woods Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship is available for a senior who is battling cancer or a life-changing illness and plans. To apply for this scholarship, go to: The deadline is August 21, American Association of Drilling Engineers Scholarship: The Appalachian Chapter is offering (20) $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Additionally, applicants need a minimum score of 27 on the ACT or minimum of 600 in Math and 600 in Critical reading on the SAT. Applicants need be a U.S. citizen and enrolled in an accredited college in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia. The deadline is April 15, Please go to the following website for the application:

3 Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Pennsylvania Foster McCarl, Jr. Scholarship: This scholarship is for students entering Plumbing, HVAC, Welding, Engineering, Architecture or Construction related fields of study. The MCA of Western PA will recognize five outstanding students. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and four other $ scholarships will be awarded. Applicants are available to students who plan to attend two or four year programs at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools. The committee is looking for wellrounded individuals with a deep interest and involvement in their communities. They spend time volunteering, having outstanding academic performances, and are leaders in their schools. An essay is required. Please stop in the guidance office for an application. The deadline is May 1, Three Rivers Desk and Derrick Club Scholarship Program: Students planning to pursue a fouryear energy related degree from a college or university, or those enrolled in a trade or vocational degree program at an accredited Western Pennsylvania school may apply to receive one of three $ scholarships. A 500 word essay discussing Regulating the Energy Industry: Striking the Proper Balance is required. Please stop in the guidance office for an application. Application packets must be postmarked no later than April 15, Incomplete application packets will not be considered. Landmarks Scholarship Award: This scholarship is valued at a maximum $6,000 over a four year period. Applicants must have a QPA of 3.25 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and have an interest in history, architecture and or landscape designs in Allegheny County. Applications are available in the guidance office. The deadline is April 20, **The local Rotary Club will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships to South Fayette and Chartiers Valley students. O Brien Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is for a high school senior enrolled in an approved secondary career and technical education program in Pennsylvania and plans to attend a post-secondary institution majoring in a career and technical filed. The scholarship is worth $1,500 and is non-renewable. The scholarship will be awarded at the PA Career and Technical Education Conference during the PA-ACTE awards dinner on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Lancaster, PA. The application packet must be postmarked by Friday, April 29, Fashion and Animation Scholarships: A scholarship for students who aspire to study fashion or animation at a post-secondary school are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. 4 The School of Engineering and Computer Science at Gannon University is offering a scholarship for students considering engineering or computer science as a major. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years. Students who apply to Gannon University in the aforementioned majors are automatically considered for this scholarship. A 3.0 GPA is required. The John J. and Martha A. Hucko Scholarship Fund: The scholarship is valued at $3,000 and is renewable for three additional years. This scholarship is for a student attending Duquesne University. The following criteria apply. The student must be a graduating high school senior in good standing, be a resident of and attending high school in Allegheny, Washington, or Westmoreland Counties, currently have and maintain a GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, be accepted for admission by Duquesne University and demonstrate financial need. Applicants will have to write a 1,000 word essay and provide a letter of reference form a person who knows their educational goals and can attest to their character. The Pittsburgh Foundation will notify the chosen scholarship recipient in June. The scholarship is worth $ and is awarded to a Pennsylvania High School senior who is pursuing higher education in a business-related field. California University of Pennsylvania: California University of Pennsylvania annually awards over $2 million in scholarships. Competitive, merit-based scholarships are awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to incoming freshmen who have been accepted and meet eligibility criteria. Awards are renewable for up to four years provided the eligibility criteria are met. Freshmen Criteria: 3.0 GPA and average or above average SAT/ACT scores.
