2 QMU International The following scholarships are for new International Students (from outside the EU and EEA) undertaking their first year of study on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the academic year The student must be holding an offer from QMU in order to apply. They do not need to have accepted their offer however. The scholarship is granted as a reduction of the tuition fee and is available to students who are self-funding with an international tuition fee of more than 9,000 for a single year of study only. For entry, Queen Margaret University are pleased to offer the following scholarships: 10 x 3000 scholarships for international students applying for any course, from any country. 3 x 2000 scholarships for students from Nanyang Polytechnic Singapore, applying for programmes in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Radiographic Studies (1 scholarship per subject) 5 x 3000 for students from South East Asia (in particular: China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore) 2 x 5000 for Indian Students (a combination of a Saltire scholarship with a top up by QMU*) 2 x 3000 for students from QMU priority new markets (in particular Kurdistan and China)

3 Saltire Saltire scholarships are awarded jointly by the Scottish Government and Queen Margaret University. They are to the value of 2000 and are exclusively for students from the following countries: China (2 2000) Canada (2 2000) USA (2 2000) *India ( offered in conjunction with a 3000 QMU scholarship totaling 5000, see above) How to apply: How to apply for a QMU scholarship: Please complete the application form which can be downloaded from our website: ac.uk/international/fees_ funding.htm#scholarships The deadline date for submission of applications for 2014 entry will be displayed on our website. 4 Santander Santander Bank allocates a number of 5000 to the University. They are awarded as follows: 2 x 5000 for any International student 1 x 5000 for an International student undertaking MSc Art Therapy 2 x 5000 for International students undertaking a programme within the Institute of International Health and Development 2 x 5000 for an International student undertaking a two year MSc Programme. 5 Other sources of funding: QMU PhD Bursaries The University has a small number of PhD bursaries allocated to students wishing to undertake research in our key research themes.
