3 Trailer Towing Vehicle towing must be equipped with a class three towing hitch with 2 ball and a 4 pin connector for the lights There are 2 keys: 1) unlocks anti-theft lock on BPT hitch; 2) unlocks the padlocks on the trailer doors Remove anti-theft lock on BPT hitch. Attach trailer to tow vehicle. Connect lights and check to see that turn signals and brake lights work on the trailer. Attach safety chains to tow vehicle. Raise tongue jack to the highest retracted position and remove wood block located under the tongue jack. Also remove wheel chocks. Remember to take anti theft lock, wood block and wheel chocks with you to site location. Trailer Parking Disconnect lights, detach safety chains, and unlatch ball catch. Lower tongue jack to lift off of ball hitch. Place wooden block support under jack. If leaving at site location overnight(and when returning to YBA) place anti-theft lock on hitch. Block tires with wheel chocks. Verify key location. 3

4 Rules and Regulations for Using the Inflatables ****Inflatables will not be used during rain, high winds, or other inclement weather. Inflatables will not be put away wet.****** The Block Party Trailer (BPT) remains the property of the Yates Baptist Association (YBA) at all times and is available to actively involved churches for church sponsored events. The BPT is not available to individuals for personal use. While in your possession, you may not sublease, rent, sell, loan, etc. BPT or its components to anyone unapproved by the YBA. Pertaining specifically to the inflatable The safety of the children and all participants depends on proper supervision of the inflatable at all times. Only compatible age groups and sizes of children shall play on the inflatable at the same time. All participants must remove shoes and any jewelry before playing in or on the inflatable. To avoid neck and back injuries, flips are NOT allowed. Absolutely, no silly string, gum, candy, food, or other sticky substances are allowed in or on the inflatable unit. If upon return of the BPT, cleaning is necessary due to presence of such substances, and extra cleaning fee will be charged. No alteration in or attachment to the inflatable unit is allowed. The following are guidelines as to the number of participants that may be in the bounce house at the same time: 2-8 no more than 5 at a time, Ages 9-90 no more than 3 at a time, Max of 500 lbs. Do not remove the inflatable from the area where it was installed. If the inflatable unit moves, pull it by one corner back to its original location of installation. Should the unit start to deflate, do the following: 1) Remove all participants from the inflatable. 2) Then, if the motor has stopped make sure that it has not been unplugged. If the motor is still running, check the air intake on the side of the motor for blockages, and check all blower tubes on the inflatable unit to make sure they are tightly tied off. 4

5 Set Up Procedure Trailer must be attached to tow vehicle when loading or unloading. When selecting a site, make sure it is level and large enough for the inflatable and tethers. Make sure front of the unit when inflated will be free and accessible at all times. Also, make sure it is free from overhead electrical power or telephone lines. Check site area for stones, sticks, or other obstructions. Check for the nearest electrical outlet and test before you start. Motor orange/yellow 2.0 HP, 10.5 amps Depending on available amperage, you may have to use separate circuits for each item. Place tarps in area where you want to place the unit and secure if necessary. Do not stake down the unit until it is inflated. If possible place the bounce house away from direct sun. This will keep the slide surface from getting too hot. NOTE: If you see any damage to the inflatable while setting up before using them, please make a note of it and report it to the YBA. 5

6 Stakes (5 orange topped 24 inch metal stakes, Sledge Hammer, Safety caps, Connectors) Hammer stake into the ground until only the orange part of the stake is showing. Do not drive the stake into the ground with the safety cover. (Orange safety hat) Place safety hat over the stake after in the ground 18 inches. Repeat for each stake. Sand Bags Put down Tarp. Inflate the Bounce house. Secure with 75lbs. at each corner connector lb. bag of sand in colorful bag plus 1-25 lb weight. This will be the method for in door use. This method can be used on a parking lot 6

7 Setting up : Bounce House (13 L x 11W x 7 1/2H) Select location and lay out tarps Remove inflatable from the trailer place in selected location. Roll out and unfold Secure the zipper ( On the rear of the Bounce House) Connect blower to the blower tube and tie tight Turn on Blower Stake down unit at the corners. 7

8 Popcorn Machine Set up Connect power cord Turn Kettle Heat and Kettle motor ON Caution: Kettle is Hot Place oil from kit in the kettle Make a test pop by putting 3 kernels of corn in the oil When corn has popped add the rest of the corn and close the top When corn has stopped popping dump the popper Repeat cycle beginning with 4 leaving out the test pop Clean up ( Never use glass or plastic cleaner that contains ammonia) After you finish popping for day, allow the kettle to cool until not too hot to handle, but still warm. Unplug machine. Take a clean cloth and wipe out the popper the kettle lid, kettle, crossbar, outside and underneath the popper 8

9 Snow Cone Machine Connect power cord. Fill hopper to within an inch of top with ice cubes. Switch motor on. Wait for motor to come to full speed (a Minute or so) Push the pusher handle down against the ice in hopper. Apply firm and even pressure to make best snow. Practice will allow you to gauge when to stop pushing. This allows ice to settle against the shaver heads. Too much pressure results in snow that is coarse; too little pressure will make the snow mushy. Making snow cones Scoop ice and mound into the snow cone cup. One stroke of pump slowly and steadily, rotate snow cone cup underneath to fully cover ice. Clean Up Remove excess ice and wipe out machine Clean syrup bottles off and wash out dispensers. 9

10 Taking down Bounce House Clean inflatable of any debris or trash before deflating by sweeping with broom or using a handheld vacuum. Be sure to clean seams where trash collects. Wipe up any spills. Turn blower off and allow to deflate Open zipper: Bounce House rear Disconnect blower, pull up stakes or detach from the sand bags. Prepare unit for folding by pulling overhanging sides toward the center of unit and flattening so you have straight edges on all four sides with an area equal to the base of the unit. See below pictures Fold (flattening as much as possible) Bounce House into thirds- 3 folds Roll up tightly see picture Front to rear with zipper up so air can escape. Secure with blue strap and two red straps 10

11 Before loading Bounce House: Clean pop snow cone and Nacho cheese machine, using a cleaning cloth according to instructions Make sure trailer is connected to tow vehicle Load pop corn popper, snow cone machine and nacho cheese machine on floor of forward storage area. Replace food items on the middle shelf and lace up the rope that holds them in. Place bounce house on the dolly and tie down in back of the trailer Place sledge hammer on floor opposite the Bounce House. Put stakes, safety hats in the duffle bag opposite the Bounce House. Put blower and cords opposite Bounce House. After all equipment is back in the trailer Church representative in charge of BPT should get Trailer Contents checklist (in pocket in front of manual) and check off items in trailer to make sure everything is in place and sign that trailer is ready to be used as you received it. If any equipment is missing or broken report it at once. 11
