Responsibilities also may include updating address registers and Census Bureau maps. The term also applies to field personnel who perform activities associated with update/leave and urban update/leave. Qualitative Study of Caretakers of Children of Incarcerated Women, Summer 2009 Fall 2009 Research Assistant, Department of Sociology, University of Oklahoma Duties: Research assistant to Dr. Susan Sharp for the qualitative portion of the Study of Incarcerated Women and Their Children, a research project conducted in collaboration with the Oklahoma Commission of Children and Youth. Duties included making phone contacts with potential interviewees; conducting and transcribing in-depth interviews; collecting field notes from interviews; and reporting study findings. Quantitative Study of Incarcerated Women and Their Children, Spring 2009 Research Assistant, Department of Sociology, University of Oklahoma Duties: Research assistant to Dr. Susan Sharp for the quantitative portion of the Study of Incarcerated Women and Their Children, a research project conducted in collaboration with the Oklahoma Commission of Children and Youth. Duties included traveling to institutions and collecting data from respondents, cleaning data, and analyzing data. Survey Construction and Data Collection for Oklahoma Incarcerated Women Study, Spring 2008 Description: Participant in survey construction and data collection for Wave IV of the Study of Incarcerated Women and their Children. Surveys were administered to a random sample of women incarcerated in four correctional facilities in Oklahoma. Quantitative Study of Ohio Service for Crime Opportunity Reduction, Summer Fall 2006 Research Assistant, Department of Criminal Justice, University of Cincinnati Duties: Research assistant to Tamara Madensen and Dr. John Eck in a study of Ohio Service for Crime Opportunity Reduction (OSCOR), which helps police and communities develop crime reduction strategies and conduct project evaluations. Duties included traveling to and collecting data from respondents, as well as reporting and analyzing data. Project Rehabilitation and Restitution Cosmos Corporation, Fall 2006 Winter 2007 Research Associate, Cosmos Corporation, Local office in Batavia, Ohio Duties: Research Associate to Supervisor David Levine, in cooperation with the Cosmos Corporation to conduct the Project Rehabilitation and Restitution, designed to target at-risk drug offenders and rehabilitate them toward a path of productive citizenry. Duties included collecting data from respondents, handling and processing data through software packaging, and entering client files into electronic database. 6
