Located in an amazing area on top of a cliff with great sights of the sea, there is also a wonderful garden. The gardens of Santa Clotilde were designed along Italian Renaissance lines: terraced gardens with ample views of the surrounding area and harmonically arranged native species. The balance between space, volume and colour is inspired from the Villa Borghese or the gardens of Boboli, set off by certain decorative elements that form various points of interest of great beauty, as in Florence, the source of inspiration at that time. 5 COSTA BRAVA HALF DAY On this tour we are going to visit the Girona coast, christened 100 years ago as the Costa Brava. The name is due to its unique rocky, rugged and cut shape coastline, composed of small coves surrounded by pine forests and lapped by crystal water. Its natural wealth and beauty is apparent in several territories and protected areas, such us Cap de Creus, the Emporda Marshes and the Marine Reserve Medes islands. 6 COSTA BRAVA FULL DAY TOUR On this tour we are going to visit the Girona coast, christened 100 years ago as the Costa Brava. The name is due to its unique rocky, rugged and cut shape coastline, composed of small coves surrounded by pine forests and lapped by crystal water. Its natural wealth and beauty is apparent in several territories and protected areas, such us Cap de Creus, the Emporda Marshes and the Marine Reserve Medes islands. The fame of Costa Brava is also due to its villages. Small fisherman towns, with whitewashed walls and narrow winding streets, today still retain their charm. This area has historically been a point of entry, transit, and settlement for different cultures and civilizations. Each has left its footprints, which is evidenced by the Greek and Roman sites in Empuries. Our intention is to show in one day the most representative and emblematic sites along the northeastern shores of Catalunya, places of unsurpassable beauty that will give you a taste of all this area has to offer. 7 GIRONA AND THE COSTA BRAVA Enjoy this journey to the Costa Brava and visit the colourful Roman city of Girona, a cosmos of melting cultures. Explore the winding medieval streets of the Jewish quarter, the Arab baths and the grandeur of its Romanesque Cathedral. After 2 hours aproximately, you will cross the hills of Sanctuari dels Angels, where Dali and Gala married, to the village of Pals for lunch (lunch free). Then follow the coastal route to admire the breath-taking seaviews, clifts and coves of the Costa Brava and stop in Calella de Palafrugell where you can walk around the rocky coast, sunbathe and swim or visit the spectacular Botanic Garden set on the cliff tops of Cap Roig. The Dalí Theatre-Museum of Figueres offers a unique experience of being able to observe, live and enjoy the work and thought of one of the most extraordinary minds of the 20 th century. It contains the broadest range of works spanning the artistic career of Salvador Dalí ( ), from his earliest artistic experiences and his surrealist creations down to the works of the last years of his life. Salvador Dalí decided, early in the 1960 s, to construct his museum inside the ruins of the old Municipal Theatre of Figueres which had been destroyed in the Civil War. Everything in it was conceived and designed by the artist in order to offer visitors a real experience of getting inside his captivating and unique world. 9 COSTA BRAVA IN A CAR The trip begins in a touristic town Lloret de Mar where you can visit la Cala Blanes a golden sandy beach and about 200 m long and has all the necessary infrastructure, in it we find rescue stations as well as a poolside snack bar and a restaurant on the beach of good quality and reasonable prices. We'll go to Tosa de Mar, a municipality in Catalonia, Spain, located on the Costa Brava, about 103 kilometres north of Barcelona and 100 kilometres south of the French border. Finally we'll visit Palamós -a land that is rich in variety, fascinating, full of life, of traditions and history that begin at the sea and head inland towards fields of wheat, towards cork oak and holm oak groves rich, extensive.
