Craft-based learning Learning by doing is a vital part of the Glion educational approach. Our students participate in intensive, four-week practical courses in which they develop and refine their skills in real-world settings. Under the direct supervision of our highly experienced Glion instructors, students in the hospitality program are given management responsibilities for accommodation and restaurants on the Glion campus. They participate in the decision-making and operations, including preparation and service, at the five campus restaurants. Students in the event, sport and entertainment management program help supervise the hotel s fitness center and sports hall and clubs. They are involved in organizing a range of entertainment, sport and cultural events. For students who choose to study at Glion London, craft-based learning is held at the Glion campus. Students will fly to Switzerland to participate in the required operational courses. Entrepreneurship Here, you are introduced to business subjects such as finance, marketing, and human resources management. The focus is on how they are applied in practice, which makes these classes particularly relevant and interesting. You start with basic concepts, then progress towards understanding how they all interact, which helps you appreciate some of the complexity that exists in the professional business environment. General Education There is a cultural element in all aspects of hospitality, tourism, sports, and other service industries.
