3 Application Dates for the Preference Process for All Candidates 22 June-03 July 2015 Did You Attend the AKUS 2014 or the AKUS 2015 Examination? Yes Enter the system with your user name and password at the following address akus.akdeniz.edu.tr No Go to akus.akdeniz.edu.tr and create your user name and password by filling in the required information, and then press the button Register Select the result of the AKUS Examination which you will use in your application from the section; Add Exam Info which you will find under New Application Upload any other examination result documents which you want to use in addition to your AKUS certificate. NOTE: You can make your application with more than one examination result. Note your candidate number which you can find in the section; Homepage. Pay the fee for the preference process. The fee is 200 TL, or the equivalent of 200 TL according to the exchange rate on the date of your application. The fee should be paid to one of the following accounts using your candidate number, and your name and surname. Dollar Account: T.C. Ziraat Bank Üçkapılar Branch TR Euro Account: T.C. Upload the examination results document which you will use in your application to the system. NOTE: You can make your application with more than one examination result. Wait until your application has been approved by the system. NOTE: Candidates whose applications are approved should complete the Preference Process between the following dates; July

4 Application Process: 22 June-3 July 2015 All candidates who will take part in the preference process (including those who attended the AKUS Examination) should complete the process mentioned during the period when the system is open for applications (22 June-3 July 2015) Candidates who submit their applications using results of the AKUS 2014 Examination or the AKUS 2015 Examination will not be required to pay any application fee. Candidates who are required to pay the Preference Fee should pay 200 TL into one of the bank accounts listed above, along with their candidate number and namesurname. Candidates can submit applications with the results of more than one examination or diploma. Examination results or diplomas which are submitted with applications are converted to the Z-standard score, and placements are made by taking into consideration the highest examination result. After your examination results have been accepted, your application will be designated Approved. 4

Istanbul University İÜYÖS-2015 Foreign National Student Examination Ondokuz Mayıs University OMÜ-YÖS 2015 International Student Entrance Examination (Equally-weighted Score) Dokuz Eylül University DEYÖS-2015 Matriculation Examination for Students from Abroad Selçuk University SÜYÖS-2015 Examination for Foreign National Students and Students from Abroad Karadeniz Teknik University KTÜYÖS Examination for Foreign National Students and Students from Abroad YGS / LYS (To be accepted for the relevant programme, students (with the exceptance of students who are ranked first in their high schools) must have a higher score than the minimum score announced for placement on the programme) MINIMUM GRADE MAXIMU M GRADE A-level at three subjects, at least one of which is related to the programme applied for A minimum of 500-1,100 points depending on types of points awarded 50 for Undergraduate Programmes, and 30 for Associate Degree Programmes 1, Relative to the minimum score TYPE OF EXAM AND VALIDITY PERIOD High School Finishing Exam - valid for an indefinite period University Entrance Exam - valid for 2 years High School Finishing Exam - valid for an indefinite period University Entrance Exam - valid for 2 years Before this year the examination result was valid for 2 years, but from 2015 onwards the result is valid for a period of 1 year only 2015) Valid only for the year in which the application is made 5

6 NAME OF EXAMINATION Results achieved in the International Scientific Olympiads Recognized and Attended by TUBITAK MINIMUM GRADE MAXIMU M GRADE Winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals TYPE OF EXAM AND VALIDITY PERIOD Preference Process July 2015 Enter the system using your username and password at the following address; akus.akdeniz.edu.tr Press the button; Add to select the department and programme which you want to apply for in the category; Make Preference Your order of your preference will be determined by the order in which you add your preferences. You can make a maximum of 10 preferences. Press the Save button after you have completed the adding process. Your preference process is now complete. Preference Process: July 2015 The Preference process can be completed either in Turkey or from abroad between the following dates; July 2015, at the following address; ( Candidates can apply for a maximum of 10 diploma programmes. The order of preference is important. The preference which candidates add first will be considered to be the candidates first preference. 6
