2 INTRODUCTION GENERAL INFORMATION KEY Please note that all prices are shown as a gross cost except where marked and all prices are in US Dollars. Prices relate to all safaris and the various options mentioned in the current Africa brochure with a cover similar to the cover of this guide. For any further assistance with costing out a client s itinerary, no matter how simple the query, please feel free to contact us. Schedule Safaris: Prices in East Africa are for scheduled seat-in-vehicle safaris, except where otherwise stated. These are based on set departure days with fixed itineraries and guaranteed to operate with a minimum of two adults. Also included in the price is an English-speaking driver-guide, a guaranteed window seat per person and all hotel tax/service charges. Fly-in Safaris: Fly-in safaris generally operate on a request basis. These safaris use ground transportation provided by lodges and camps on a shared seat in vehicle basis. These safaris, unless indicated, include accommodation, transfers, share game drives and activities, park entry fees, domestic flights and taxes. Airfares used in the price list are subject to changes and fuel surcharges. Private Safaris: Scheduled itineraries can be re-arranged into a private safari which means exclusive use of the vehicle and driver-guide for one specific group. This allows clients to choose their preferred departure date and perhaps the ability to amend the routing and lodges if required. Please feel free to contact us for any help or advice here. All prices for these private safaris are on a request basis. Tailor-made Safaris: If you are unable to find a safari that matches your client s requirements, please contact us to run through the preferred itinerary. We will then cost out the various options for you immediately. It is the Agents responsibility to check the website for any corrections before providing a cost to the clients. The errata section will be used to determine the final invoice price. Itinerary Confirmation: Confirmation can usually be provided within 48 hours for most scheduled safaris. Please allow a little longer for tailor-made trips. Supplements: Safaris that operate in East Africa (and some in Southern Africa) over Christmas, New Year and Easter are generally subject to a price supplement. Please see the price tables as a guide for these or contact us. Single Rooms and Special Requests: Requests for single rooms and special dietary requirements must be specified in writing at the time of booking. If a lodge is unable to provide a single room, despite pre-payment of a single supplement, a refund of that supplement will be payable on a pro rata per night basis. Due to limited space, single rooms on safari cannot always be guaranteed. Children: Wherever applicable, we extend children s discounts on safaris, generally for children under 12 years of age. These discounts are governed by the policies of hotel/lodge companies and may vary from trip to trip. Child discounts and policies are usually shown on the individual detailed itinerary of the safari and can be obtained on request. Please remember that some tented camps in Eastern and Southern Africa as well as certain activities such as gorilla tracking have age restrictions. These are also available on request. Accommodation: All accommodation is based on twinbedded rooms with private en-suite facilities (except camping in Under the Stars, climbing programmes, some camping in Southern Africa and fly camping where en suite is not available), though double beds can in most cases be pre-booked if requested. Due to local conditions and wildlife movements at certain times of the year, it may be necessary to substitute alternative accommodation for that which was initially confirmed to you. If this occurs, we will consult you before departure. Window seats: Window seats are guaranteed on all scheduled departure safaris. We cannot, however, guarantee them on transfers, excursions or on safaris where we have no control over the vehicle seating arrangements, for example, those arranged by a private lodge.
