9 Objectives 1. To implement the EU Agenda on sustainable & competitive tourism (COM 621/2007) 2. To create the regional network of tourist competitive destinations 3. Test NECSTouR s model, namely its 10 topics, in order to plan and monitor local policies and action on tourist destinations An operative instrument: Local Tourism Observatory

12 Activities (steps) Expected results 1. Setting up a partnership 2. Setting up a steering committee 3. Carrying out a SWOT analysis (centred around NECSTouR s 10 topics) 4. Setting up a permanent technical committee.. 1. Memorandum of understanding with stakeholders and with university 2. Committee of representatives and agreed working rules 3. A paper and its evaluation by the partnership and city council 4. Technical/operational leaders for each of NECSTouR s topics,.

Setting up indicators for sustainability and competitiveness 8. Observatory networking 9. Presenting project results 6. Document on content and procedure, local prepared and approved by Province and Region 7. Document with indicators on each of NECSTouR topics, approved by Province and Region 8. Testing request with technical annexes 9. Final report and presentation event
