16 Luksia s international strategy Vision In 2015 international activities are an integral part of everyday functions in Luksia Strategic development objectives 1. Quality of learning and international competences 2. Mobility of students and staff 3. International networks 16

Quality of learning Objective: To develop the quality of learning according to the needs of the globalizing working life to improve the students international competences (eg. language skills, cultural skills and cultural knowledge) Developing a preparatory course for students international mobility: International competences and intercultural communication Developing study modules in English 17
18 2. International mobility Objective: To enable interested students to participate in international activities and on-the-job learning abroad in all fields of study. Developing international skills of teachers and other staff members supports student mobility and development of vocational competences. In at least 3 % of Luksia s staff will carry out a mobility period of minimum 5 days abroad. In at least 5 % of students (annual intake) will carry out a mobility period of minimum two weeks abroad. In Luksia will receive at least 2 % of foreign students (annual intake) Lasse Luennoitsija
19 3. International networks Objective: To extend the international cooperation network to new partners and countries as well as to function actively in national and international networks. In Luksia will agree on cooperation with at least five (5) multidisciplinary vocational institutions and join at least five (5) international networks 19

Internationalizing regional business life International students in companies: Company personnel can improve their communication, language and cultural skills Businesses can develop and strengthen their international networks Objective: in 2015 companies and other employers in the region receive at least 5 % foreign students of the amount of Luksia s annual intake 23

International development projects For example: Common study modules with international partner organizations Themes such as entrepreneurship education, prevention of marginalization, sustainable development, multi-culturalism and work-based immigration Objective: in 2015 Luksia will coordinate at least one development project and will take part in other international projects. 24
