2 1. Controls systems MSV elektronika s.r.o. is a producer and supplier of vehicle control systems as well as of superordinate control modules. The control systems are based on the ModuRail kit which is usually supplemented with power output modules NR5, with passenger information system and with distributed control modules with CAN communication. The superordinate control is realized using CRV_AVV module which cooperates with the control computer of the vehicle and extends its functions. Driver's displays, keyboards ARR (Automatic speed control) or ARR_AVV (Automatic speed control + Automatic train operation) and magnetic balise sensors (for ATO) are connected to control computer. ModuRail - 19" modular system for control computers ModuRail is a modular microprocessor system that uses Fujitsu 16- and 32-bit processor. It is designed especially for assembling of vehicle control computers, where it ensures following function, chiefly: scanning, displaying, evaluation and recording of operational data and of failure states, vehicle diagnostics connection to ATP systems measuring, displaying and recording of train speed and other information The multiply traction control in control and diagnostic systems of MSV elektronika s.r.o. is realized by international standard bus WTB or by national standard bus NVL. Czech national train bus NVL is used since half of 1990's on many vehicles of ÈD (Czech railways) and also of other operators (ÈD and ÈD Cargo classes 843/943/043, 854/054/954, 842, , 742.7, 753.6, 753.7, 754M, 755, 363.5, ( JHMD), Dm12 (VR - Finnish railways). Besides MSV elektronika s.r.o., this bus is implemented also in vehicles which use control system of other producers. Two pairs of wires in UIC cable (that are normally not used at ÈD vehicles) are used for data transmission, it is possible to use other wires of similar parameters (used e.g. on Dm12 railcars for VR - separate cable and contacts in automatic couplers were used). control of running regimes traction and/or auxiliary generator excitation control automatic speed control brake cooperation and blending, antiskid and antislip protection intervehicle communication, multiply traction control of any kind of vehicles automatic train operation Vehicle control computer CRV_DPV_NRV_842 1

3 The communication inside particular vehicle is realized using CAN, eventually serial RS485 lines. Service PCs are connected via RS232 serial line or via USB. Modular solution of control systems enables repetitive usage of limited number of well-proven modules which results in shorter development times for particular application and in decreasing of spare parts number. The modular conception also enables extending the range of offered modules for optimal solution in specific applications and their continuous innovation. The plug-in units of ModuRail system are the cards of small European size (160x100mm) and they are placed in standard 19" aluminium rack for EMC applications, of 3U or 6U height, 290 mm depth and usually of 84TE width. Internal connections of plug-in units are realized individually for specifically used units in particular application. They are placed on lateral and rear sides of the box. Plug-in units for internal parallel bus: CPU - Central processor unit with CAN and USB / RS232 interfaces FRQ - Frequency input unit, for speed and R.P.M. measuring SIO - serial communication unit (8 communication lines CAN, RS232 or RS485) TBA - intervehicle communication unit (communication according to Czech national standard NVL) Modular 19 system ModuRail for vehicle control computers is used in railcars Dm12, refurbished railcars class 842, trailers class 054, modernized engines classes 162/163, 362/363, 705.9, 741.7, 742.7, 750.7, 753.6, 753.7, 754 and 755, on refurbished railcar for overhead line inspection MVTV2.2, on new-built locos classes 744jsem doplnil, TME- 3, TEM-LTX, TEM-33, TEM-35 and others. Supreme Control Unit UniAVV Supreme control units UniAVV are intended for traction and brake systems control of locomotives and railcars. UniAVV co-works with vehicle computers. 4 Main standard control elements of superordinate control module are Master controller, driver's keyboard, driving mode selector, direction selector, switches for auxiliary functions of brake control valve DAKO BSE. Contol unit CRV_AVV Colour Graphic Displays The superordinate control unit CRV_AVV enables following driving modes: MAN - manual mode, when the driver uses the master controller to set the value of proportional traction (positive for traction or negative for dynamic braking) or of brake effect of the train air brakeman) AUT - automatic speed control mode, when the driver sets the value of required speed using driver's keyboard and using the master controller, he selects the running mode (running - coasting). The control of brakes (dynamic and pneumatic) is the same as in manual mode, in the process it is not necessary to switch to manual mode when using the brakes CB - target braking control, when the train running is controlled automatically based on the data stored in Route map stored in the module memory. The track must be either equipped with track part of national ATO (magnetic balises) or with ETCS, or there must be a route map with geographical coordinates and the vehicle must be equipped with GPS module. Anytime, the driver can select lower speed than allowed in the route map and also he can use brakes without necessity of switching to lower level of automation OJV - energy optimal driving strategy is added to the function mentioned in previous paragraph Automatic control of the train in CB and OJV modes includes: Colour graphic displays are designed for installation especially in railway vehicles, but they can be used in other industrial applications. MSV elektronika produces 8,4 size displays type ZJS01 type and 10,4 size displays type ZJS01. The display consists of colour graphic TFT screen and foil buttons placed on its margins. Microprocessor control system allows to use the displays as intelligent display units or as independent control units in simple applications. Good legibility of displayed information in various luminous conditions is achieved by display brightness control function. Driver's display ZJS03 The display is designed to be used in the wide range of temperatures according to EN50155 ed. 3 class T1 with extension to -30 C. Problem-free start-up is guaranteed by regulated heating of both display surface and internal part with internal temperature measurement. 3

5 Display is standardly equipped with three galvanic insulated CAN communication lines and one service line USB. Optionally, it is possible to equip display with analogue signal input and Ethernet network connection. Colour graphic displays type ZJS01 are used in railcars classes 842 and 843, trailers 054, driving trailers 943 and locos 705.9, 750.7, 753.7, 754 and 755, the displays type ZJS03 are used on locos classes 162/163, 362/363, 741.7, 742.7, 753.6, 744jsem doplnil, TME-3, TEM-LTX, TEM-33, TEM-35, on inspection cars MVTV2.2 and others. Driver's Keyboard BKL The driver's keyboard is a microprocessor controlled MMI device designed for superordinate vehicle control. Keyboards are used for command entry in automatic speed control mode (ARR) or automatic train operation mode (AVV). The number of keys and their layout depends on the application. The keyboards with the basic key set are used for vehicle control systems that enable ARR mode only. They enable required speed setting, limitation of traction effort or power, and finally, they allow to start the train-end countdown (e.g. for speed restriction termination check). The keyboards communicate with the supreme vehicle control system via serial line CAN, optionally with CANOPEN protocol. The keyboard's electronics are protected by metal cover from the rear side. This design makes it easy to include it to the driver's control panel. Keyboards are produced in following modifications: BKL01 keyboard designed for systems with ARR driving mode only, with mechanical buttons of RAFI type BKL02, BKL10 - foil keyboard designed for systems with ARR driving mode only BKL03 - foil keyboard designed for systems with ARR&AVV driving modes Driver's keyboards are used on following vehicles: BKL02 - EMUs cl. 575, 671, 675, locos cl , 741.7, 742.7, 754 BKL03 - railcars cl. 842, EMUs 440/640/650, locos cl. 380, 162/163, 362/363, 363.5, 750.7, driving trailers cl. 961 BKL10 - locos TME-3, TEM-LTX, TEM-33, TEM-35typ BKL02 - emj. 575, 671 a 675, loko ø , 741.7, 742.7, 754 Magnetic balise sensor Magnetic balise sensors MSIB 24V MSV are standardv peripheral of CRV&AVV system. They are used for vehicle localisation on the track (line) equipped with magnetic information balises MIB-6. Driver s Keyboards BKL The keyboards with extended key set are used for vehicle control systems that enable automatic full ATO driving. These keyboards (ARR&AVV) contain additional keys that are needed for these driving modes (CB - target braking control, OJV - energy optimization control). Keyboard buttons are backlighted. Brightness can be set by the driver. The key icons are easy to modify in the production process. Magnetic balise is a lineside part of national ATO system, it consists of two 5 meter long wood or plastic beams placed between the rails, containing 8 permanent magnets in 6 rows. The position information is coded in the magnet layout. The sensors MSIB 24V MSV detect the static bipolar magnetic field of MIB-6 balise magnets and forward the information into control computer. The sensor electronics enable its diagnostics by vehicle computer. The keyboard electronics ensure the pushbuttons state reading, transmission of their state via communication line, turning on/off buttons lighting based on received commands and the control of backlighting intensity. 4

6 Magnetic balise sensors MSIB 24V MSV The MSIB sensors are supplied for vehicles classes 471, 842, locos 162/163, 362/363, 363.5, 380/381, 750.7, and driving trailers class 961. Distributed Control and Data Collection Units CAN The CAN units are electronic modules designed especially for distributed data collection and for operating process control in transport means and various industrial applications. The CAN units are designed as standalone units in a compact aluminous case with DIN fastening clip. The units are produced in several modifications of inputs and outputs. Each unit contains two communication CAN lines and one USB line. CAN units can be optionally supplied with a backlighted alphanumeric 2x16 characters display and foil pushbuttons (arrows for moving in the menu). digital optoinsulated input... 4 ma, V, reverse-polarity proof relay output... switch over contact, 1A digital semiconductor output... 1 A / 24 V, min. load 10 ma analog input V, 0-20 ma, 4-20 ma analog output V, 0-20 ma, 4-20 ma temperature sensor input PT C to +80 C PWM output... range 0-100% The connections between CAN units and vehicle cabling are realized by multipole connectors Phoenix with elastic contacts. Advanced safety of CAN units is guaranteed by "Error" relay for processor fault or controlled process fault signalling. Following modules are supplied standardly F-CAN_IN01 (24 binary inputs up to 60V), F-CAN_I/O01 (16 binary inputs, 8 semiconductor outputs), F-CAN_A/D (8 binary inputs 24V, 8 analog inputs), F-CAN_IN/AD01 (16 binary inputs, 8 analog inputs), F-CAN_UIC01 (16 binary inputs, 8 relay outputs), F-CAN_MINI_I/O_A (lessened version, 12 inputs 16,8-144 V / 1 ma, 8 semiconductor outputs), F-CAN_MINI_IN (lessened version, 12 inputs 16,8-144V / 1mA), F-CAN_MINI_I/O/1W (12 inputs 16,8-144V / 1mA, 5x semiconductor outputs, 2x communication 1 WIRE) National train bus gateway GTBA The module of distributed data collecting CAN I/O The USB line serves for diagnostic and testing purposes, for loading of application SW and for downloading and reading the EEPROM memory. In applications, it is possible to create a hierarchy network of CAN units through CAN line. Plug-in module GTBA ensures the intervehicle communication using Czech national train bus NVL, usually using UIC cable, between all vehicles of all traction types including non-powered ones. Using this gateway, similarly to usage of WTB gateway, the vehicle producer does not need to solve the intervehicle communication. The vehicle control system is connected to GTBA module via standard serial interface RS485 (2x) or CAN (2x). The CAN module contains 24 positions that can be flexibly utilized with input and/or output circuits with following parameters: 5

7 Mobile MCR unit is placed on the railway vehicle and it is connected via communication lines to other vehicle systems (CRV, DPV, tachograph etc.). The unit also contains GPS interface for precise localisation of the vehicle using GPS satellites. The main function of the module is to collect requested diagnostic data and to transmit them via GSM communication to server MCR unit. The mobile MCR unit is also able to receive commands and data from server MCR unit and to realize them (e.g. to display received data on the display). The server MCR application receives and store data from all units into its database. The GTBA module is designed as a plug-in unit into 19" rack of 6U height, but it is possible to fasten it separately. The vehicle cabling is connected by connectors on the front side of the unit. Each customer is able to enter this database and he has access to all diagnostic information from all his vehicles equipped with mobile MCR unit. The intervehicle communication uses control and diagnostic lines. The identification of all vehicles presented in the train runs automatically, as well as the identification of their rank and orientation. Next, there is a check if only one vehicle is switched to Master regime, all other ones must be in Slave regime, otherwise the Master conflict is detected. Wireless Communication Module MCR (Mobile Communication for Railway) system is intended for bi-directional wireless communication via GSM messages or data transmission GPRS from / to rail vehicle. MCR system consists of two parts: mobile MCR units server MCR units Wireless Communication Module MCR system functions: collecting of diagnostic data and vehicle localisation data back-up and data displaying to customer vehicle localisation, driver's identification, state of the vehicle, fuel level (when loco is off) regular daily report on the vehicle state reporting of assault on the vehicle transmitting the vehicle localisation to ATO system AVV Next functions of the MCR system are planned in the future, for example module SW upgrading, transmission of data and commands from customer to the vehicle, "Help" function - instant sending of actual diagnostic data. 8 2. Passenger information systems MSV elektronika is a producer and supplier of passenger information systems (PIS) for railway vehicles as well as of particular components. Information systems are optimized for current vehicle application to employ existing intervehicle communication units and man-machine interfaces (displays). For driver's operation, information system can use separate display or standard driver's displays at driver's desks that are used also for other vehicle application. Outer information boards TIS01 and TISE01 are intended for installation inside the vehicle behind the window or in the vehicle sideboard. The display area consists of 32 x 160 LED array that enable to display up to three text lines or two lines of different font height. The boards display initial and terminal stations as well as stations the train stops throughout the journey. Information board TIS02 The information system provides the information for passengers using information boards and train broadcasting, it also enables voice connection between driver and train staff post, voice connection passenger - driver using intercom units and also access of the driver and staff to train broadcasting. The boards TIS01 are used in EMUs class 460, 560, railcars class 843 and driving trailers class 943. The boards TISE01 are used in railcars class 842 and driving trailers class 961. The double-line boards TISE03 are designed for installation into sideboards of double-decked cars. Their installation is simple, without necessity of impact to vehicle interior. The standard UIC cable may be used for intervehicle communication. The heart of the information system is the control module BIS01 that contains texts for displaying and acoustical records. Texts to be displayed are transmitted based on information of passed distance, actual speed, door opening, eventually GPS localization (from its own or other GPS receiver). The data transfer inside the vehicle uses CAN lines, intervehicle transmission to other vehicles is realized Outer information board TISE03 7

9 The single-line boards TISE102 and TISE102A are designed for installation behind the windscreen of leading vehicle - EMUs classes 671 and 675, push-pull trainsets class 951/051, driving trailers class 961, locos classes 162/163/362/363. Inner information displaying boards are mounted on the vehicle wall in passenger saloons. Single-line (TIS01, TIS02, TIS03, TIS04 types) or two-lines (TIS02_ZNZ12 type) boards are produced. Inner boards display next and terminal train stations, stations "via", actual time, tariff zones etc. Display area consists of LEDs with 3mm diameter, single-line boards consist of 10x120 pixels, two-lines boards 20x120 LEDs. The boards TIS02 and TIS02_ZNZ12 have a built-in loudspeaker for acoustic messages or gong, which enables to use these boards e.g. for Stop on Request systems or other applications. The boards TIS03 and TIS04 contain integrated WC-status display. Passenger intercoms TVC01, TVC02 using the train bus according to UIC558. The set fulfills the functions according to codex UIC568 and is designed for connection to TCV01 intercom unit, which functions are expanded with functions requested by UIC568. The TCV01 unit provides the power supplying to VCA01 set and ensures the cooperation of this set with the vehicle information system center. The voice adaptor set consists of the base and handphone with control elements. It shall be mounted to driver's desk or to service room of passenger coach, so it is designed for train crew only. Volume control module BRH01, noise measuring module BMH01 The modules BMH01/BMH02 and BRH01 are designed for automatic and/or manual setting of train broadcasting volume. They are connected via serial line MSV ONE-WIRE with control processor ( JCA) of passenger information system, that controls the volume of reproduced sound. The passenger intercom TVC01 is designed for installation in interior of railway and mass-transport vehicles for voice communication between driver and passenger and for displaying of simple text messages and graphical symbols. The touch screen display of TVC01 is equipped with protecting shield, that is necessary to push aside before the display is touched. Using TVC microphone, necessary information can be told to train staff. The CAN line connects the intercom with the vehicle control computer. It can be used also for software download. Volume control module BRH01 The noise measuring module BMH01 measures the noise and sends the processed results via communication line. The module BRH enables to set the volume manually using push buttons, the set value is signalized by LEDs. Passenger intercom TVC01 Voice adaptor set VCA01 Voice adaptor set VCA01 is designed for train broadcasting system control and for control of voice connection system using the train bus according to UIC558. Information system on EMU (electric multivehicle unit) The passenger information system (PIS) on EMU utilizes the vehicle computers VOPO, which ensure the data transmission from PIS control unit BIS to all vehicles in the EMU as well as to other coupled EMU by train bus WTB. The PIS is operated from driver's display. 8

Information system on vehicles with national train bus NVL Additional implementation of PIS on railcars 842 and 843, trailers 043 and 054 and driving trailers 943 utilizes the existing vehicle hardware as much as possible. The BIS module serves as a control unit of PIS. National train bus NVL (its diagnostic part) is used for intervehicle communication. The PIS is operated by driver using driver's displays. Displaying boards (external TISE and internal TIS) are connected using CAN line. Train broadcasting system amplifiers are used for acoustic announcement. 11 3. Control of doors, lifts for disabled, WC MSV elektronika s.r.o. is a producer and supplier of control units for railway vehicle doors. Besides the control systems, MSV elektronika s.r.o. produces also other auxiliary modules for door systems. Entrance door of passenger coaches and EMUs, both sliding and folding ones, with pneumatic drives are controlled by SOD97, SOD98, SOD02, SOD05 and DCS04 units that ensure door functions according to UIC560 standard, if electric equipment of the vehicle allows it. The control units are designed for various door types in various vehicles. They include optoinsulated inputs, semiconductor and relay outputs and communication lines CAN for vehicle network connection and USB (or RS232 at older versions) for service PC. Front and inner sliding doors are controlled using APD10K units. 12 Control units and auxiliary modules are used in electric units 471, 575, 671 and 675, in push-pull trainsets 951/051, diesel units RegioNova and , trailers 054, diesel railcar Dm12, driving trailers 954, in refurbished coaches Bdteer, Bdghmeer, Bbdgmsee, Bdmpee and others. Control Units for Disabled Person Lifting Platforms MSV elektronika s.r.o. is also a producer of control units for disabled person lifting platforms. The control units types MS320 or SOD02, power modules and switchboard boxes with electric equipment for the platform control can be delivered. MSV elektronika s.r.o. provides electric connection design for lifting platforms applications in vehicles. These control units are used in electric units 471, diesel railcars Dm12, driving trailers 954 and coaches Bbdgmsee and Bdghmeer. MSV elektronika supplies three types of control units: BVH01 for large systems with CAN communication to superordinate systems - 8 binary 24 V inputs, galvanic insulated - 3 analog inputs PT100-1 analog input 0-30 V (battery voltage) - 8 relay outputs - USB interface - CAN communication BVH02 - the same as BVH01, with additional integrated display BVH10 for small water/wc subsystems - 6 binary 24 V inputs, galvanic insulated - 4 semiconductor outputs 24V DC - 2 relay outputs - RS232 interface - RJ45 terminal for programming Control units ensure the WC EVAC connection to vehicle network and control the water valves for hands washing and WC flushing and can control the discharge fan, respectively. They are able to control WC doors with electric drive. BVH control units monitor water and air temperatures, air pressure in air pipes in vehicle and battery voltage. Based on these signals, they protect WC, water and waste tanks against freezing. MSV elektronika cooperates with firm VKV Praha that is a waste tanks producer and a distributor of EVAC vacuum WCs and other components of water systems. The control system ensures the real control of water system as well as its draining in case of risk of freezing, this is done using sophistic algorithms and based on measuring of several values. 13 Control units can be delivered as one mounting set together with auxiliary relays and terminal strips for vehicle cabling connection. MSV elektronika produces several types of electronic water level meters for tank level signalization. For WC signalization WC occupied and WC error, signaling boards TIP01 and TIP01A are delivered. WC and water system control units and other components from MSV elektronika s.r.o. are used in electric units 471, 575, 671, and 675, in push-pull trainsets 951/051, trailers 054, and in refurbished coaches Bdteer, Bdghmeer and Bee. The VKV Praha company produces the enclosed WC modules, for which MSV elektronika s.r.o. supplies the control unit and other components. These WC modules are delivered e.g. for diesel unit RegioNova and driving trailers 954. Signaling board TIP01 Water level meters for water and waste water system control unit and switchboard in Bee coach MSV elektronika s.r.o. delivers several types of water level meters for tank level signalization - for water tanks, for waste tanks or combined meters with both functions. For water tanks, level meters BSV01, BSV02, BSV03, BSV06 a BSV07 are used. The level meter BSV06 uses self-standing measuring unit BCV06V which transmits the measured values to level meter unit via communication line MSV ONE-WIRE. For waste tanks, level meter BSV05 is used. MSV elektronika s.r.o. also supplies the combined level meters BSV08 and BSV10 that display the levels both in water and waste tanks. Both units use self-standing measuring unit BCV06_V for water tank level measuring. Waste tank water level meter BSV05 12

14 4. External LED lighting MSV elektronika s.r.o. is a producer of LED signal lights type BKS02 and LED headlights type BKS11. Both types fulfill the requirements of EN and UIC534 on colourity and luminosity and they were successfully certified as an interoperable element according to TSI2011/291/UE LOC&PAS. LED lights are produced in following variants: BKS02_N/A white signal light BKS02_N/B red signal light BKS02_N bílé / white / red signal light BKS11 headlight BKS11/B headlight with LED white signal light BKS11/A headlight with LED white / red signal light Signal lights can be used in the wide range of temperatures according to EN50155 ed. 3. class T1 with extension to -40 C. Signal Light BKS02 The signal light for rail vehicles on LED base is intended for new installations as well as a replacement of current bulb signal lights. Lights with LEDs achieve much better utility values than normal bulb lights, especially luminosity and durability. Thanks to LEDs connection in several branches and to internal diagnostics, high reliability and, thus, safe operation of the vehicle is achieved. The lights enable dimming to half luminosity. The lights are placed in housings that have the same dimensions as standard bulb lights, so the replacement during vehicle modernization is simple. Lights BKS02 MSV elektronika s.r.o. is able to develop, in cooperation with customer, the signal lights also in other dimensions and shapes. The high-luminous SMD technology LEDs are used as a light source. Clear optics are used for BKS signal lights. The optical characteristics of the LED lights are ensured by special reflector made of highly sturdy metalized plastics, which construction comes from principles used in automotive industry. The technical solution of the signal light is patented in the Czech republic. Signal lights LED type BKS02 are widely used on vehicles in the Czech republic and abroad. The delivery of 250 lights for Bombardier can be mentioned as a great abroad delivery. Headlight BKS11 The headlight BKS11 utilizes 10 high-luminous LEDs combined with specially designed optics to fulfill the requirements of standards. The light is equipped with diagnostics of the LEDs and using the communication bus or diagnostic output it is able to inform the vehicle control system about its operational of failure states. BKS11 is equipped with adjusting system for simple adjusting the light into desired position. The luminous parameters of the light fulfill the requirements of EN and UIC534 in both full and dimmed operation. 13

15 Light 680 for Pendolino trains Headlight BKS11 The headlight BKS11 is produced in variants containing red and white signal light. The headlights BKS11 are used e.g. on locos 753.6, 744, inspection cars MVTV2.2, EMUs 471 and others. Light 680 The Czech railways decided to exchange the external lights on their Pendolino trainsets. The original lights were replaced by signal LED lights MSV elektronika s.r.o. and halogen headlights Hela. MSV elektronika s.r.o. developed the assembly group containing both lights and ensured the approval of the change by Czech railway authority. The Czech railways chose the supplier on the base of quality and operational reliability of the BKS lights, used on trailers 054, railcars 842, locos 162/163/362/363, driving trailers 961 and others. New lights are more economical having greater light output at the same time. They improve the visibility and train safety of operation and also make driver's work easier. 14

16 5. Brake control The brake system control unit ("vehicle brake computer") controls and diagnoses the complete system of pneumatic brake DAKO-CZ, according to requirements of vehicle designer, pneumatic brake designers, and last but not least, to requirements of superordinate system of the railway vehicle itself. The constructional solution is fully modular and enables simple configurability for various types of railway vehicles and brake systems and also possible future extending of the system. The almost unlimited possibility of usage that covers absolute majority of constructional solutions of pneumatic brakes, covering all from simple pneumatic brakes for underground trainsets up to very complicated complex sets combining many various types of pneumatic brakes including control of electrically controlled brake valve DAKO BSE, is a giant advantage of this solution. This completely modular solution also offers a simple maintenance and service works, without any complicated dismounting of the whole device. The brake control unit is placed in standard 19" rack of 3U height. The brake computer unit is equipped with several communication interfaces that enable simple integration of this computer into complete control system of the vehicle (cooperation with automatic speed control systems or ATO systems) or its interconnection with other brake control systems like wheel slip protection unit ASS06 or magnetic brake control unit RMB01. The Ethernet interface that becomes a standard for such systems at these days is an integral part of the brake computer. Wheel slip protection control unit ASS0601 The wheel slip protection control unit is designed for railway vehicles with disk or block brake, 2 or 4 axle, and with 2 or 4 brake cylinders, which use speed sensors DAKO FE1.4 and three-state valves DAKO N8. The supply voltage range for brake computer covers all standard voltage levels from 24 V DC to 110 V DC (respecting standard tolerances). All binary, analogue and frequency inputs are galvanic insulated to each other and fully configurable according to particular solution of pneumatic brake scheme. The outputs for control of peripheral devices are also configurable according to particular pneumatic scheme. The outputs can be loaded in the whole range 24 to 110 V DC. Wheel slip protection control unit ASS06.1_110V 15

17 The modified control units ASS06 can use other types of speed sensors or pneumatic valves, as well. When using on vehicles with more axles or on units, two or three control units are usually used. From the wheel revolutions, the control unit evaluates the actual speed of the vehicle. During braking by train pneumatic brake, the differences of speeds and accelerations on particular axles are evaluated and prospective slip is detected. If so, the control unit decreases the pressure in brake cylinder for a short time and thereby it decreases the braking effort effecting on the axle, and sets the effective slip for reaching the minimal braking distance and minimal air consumption, at the same time. emergency braking, auxiliary braking on great slopes or braking at very bad weather conditions (like rails covered with wet leaves, hoar-frostadhezní podmínky mg. brzda nezlepší nikdy! Ona jen na nì není tak citlivá jako normální brzdy, dew, etc.). At this conditions, magnetic brake eliminates above mentioned negative aspects and cleans the rail surface, and so it improves the adhesion conditions for following braking wheel, as well. The module RMB01 permanently evaluates the vehicle speed and in case of low speed it disables the magnetic rail to prevent undesired jerk. After speed increases, it enables the magnetic rail brake again. The control interventions are executed every 10 milliseconds, the actual speed and acceleration measurings are performed every 500 microseconds. The program running and the length of output impulses to three-state valves are checked by independent means. The output circuits are checked for short-circuit and disconnection. The speed sensors are checked, too. ASS06 control unit are equipped with OLED graphic display with push-buttons for process variables and error states displaying. Errors are logged in memory and they can be reviewed either manually or with connected PC. The unit can be connected with vehicle control computer via CAN communication line. The control unit ASS06.1 is supplied in 6U height case, the unit ASS06.2 is supplied in standard 19" 3U height rack. The control units ASS06 are available fo supply voltage 24 V, 36 V, 48 V and 110 V DC. The wheel slip protection control unit ASS06 is applied in refurbished trailers 054, coaches Bgmrsee, Bdmpee, 961, two-axle locos TME-3, four-axle locos 380, 757, 744, sixaxle locos 773, TEM-33 and TEM-35, diesel units 814 RegioNova Trio, , railcars 842 and underground trainsets in Kiev. Magnetic rail brake control The magnetic rail brake control module RMB01 is designed for magnetic rail brake control. It ensures its correct function at all possible conditions according to relevant rules. The module utilizes advanced microprocessor technology for processing of all important operational parameters and measured values. Using the magnetic rail brake, the braking distance is considerably shortened in case of Magnetic rail brake control module RMB01 The module behaviour fulfills all requirements of relevant rules and standards. The module is placed in common electrical switchboard, together with power appliances, which provide the power feeding for brake magnets in particular brake beams. The module is equipped with CAN interface with CANopen protocol, which serves for communication with vehicle control computer. This enables simple monitoring of both module behaviour and states of particular mechanical parts of magnetic brake. Diagnostic display DISPLAY03 can be connected to special CAN interface, which is also included in the module. This display that enables the monitoring of operational and fault states of the magnetic rail brake, can be placed e.g. in the main switchboard of the vehicle, where it is simply accessible by staff. The magnetic rail brake control module RMB01 by MSV elektronika s.r.o. is used for example in coaches classes Bdbmsee or Bdmpee. 16

Switchboards, driver's desks, cables Besides the development and production of electronic control systems, MSV elektronika s.r.o. also deals with design, wiring and delivery of switchboards and switchboard sets, of driver's desks and with production of cable bundles for rail transport. Other products Auxiliary Relay RP810 Auxiliary relay RP 810 SC/A, RP 810 SI/A with possible fastening on DIN rail can be used for replacement of widely used on railway vehicles (according to Czech standard CSN ) relay RP 810 S1 PC-L, that is nowadays out of production. Characteristic features of this relay are 3 switchover contacts, LED indication of powered state, wide range of supplying voltage, low power and easy exchangeability. Windscreen wiper periodic switch BCS01 Small lamp MLO02 New product is based on a pair of PCB type relays CR- P012DC2. Coil and contacts are connected to WAGO clips that are also PCB mounted. The RP810 relays are produced in several modifications: Rp810 - SI for nominal voltage 24V Rp810 - TI for nominal voltage 48V The LED module MLO02 is fitted with 12 white LEDs and is designed for illumination of time-table area on the driver's desk. The module is mounted directly into the driver's desk. The intensity of illumination can be controlled by external element (switch, dimmer) placed outside the module MLO02. Windscreen wiper periodic switch BCS01 Windscreen wiper periodic switch BCS01 is produced in two modifications - for engines with permanently connected positive or negative pole. More periodic switches used in one application can be synchronized. The power output for engine switching is semiconductor based, which brings a long lifetime of the device. The period of switching can be set from 1 to 60 seconds in 1 second step. The switch is built in plastic housing, which is suitable for fastening to 35 mm DIN rail. LED illumination module MLO02 Voltage monitoring unit BMN01 The BMN01 unit is a programmable module that can control various circuits, like lights, by its relay outputs. The control is based on vehicle battery voltage measuring. The output switching levels and their hysteresis are defined by module's software. 18

20 The voltage monitoring unit BMN01 contains: 2 A/D inputs 24V DC 4 relay outputs RS232 interface RJ45 socket for programming. The states of particular inputs and outputs are signalized by LEDs in the front panel. The unit is designed for fastening to 35 mm DIN rail. Regulátor Heating controller topení SOT01 The heating controller SOT01 is a programmable microprocessor system, a member of a family of distributed control and data collecting CAN modules. It is designed for control of simple systems for railway vehicle heating. Block BPK01 The BPK01 block is designed for vehicle speed and passed distance measuring, based on frequency signals from axle generators of various types. The outputs of the BPK01 block are user-changable to cover a wide range of applications. The typical application of the block is closing and blocking of entrance doors of the railway passenger vehicle or the passed distance measuring. The BPK01 block includes: 2 galvanic insulated inputs 24V DC 2 semiconductor outputs 24 V DC 3 relay outputs 2 frequency inputs RS232 interface RJ45 terminal for programming Heating controller SOT01 Typical scheme of connection The SOT01 module collects the data by its inputs and by its outputs it controls the actuators of the heating system to keep the temperature in passenger saloon in desired range. The information can be transmitted to superordinate control system using CAN bus. Via USB interface, the module can be connected to service PC for software download or module diagnostics. Communication module MCC01 The communication module MCC01 is fitted with 3 galvanicinsulated CAN lines, that are terminated at three D-SUB9 and one RJ45 connectors. The LEDs for status signalization and service USB connector for data downloading and module diagnostics ate placed at the front panel under the shield. The module can be used as a master module or for communication monitoring on the CAN line. It includes the bus terminal resistors, that can be connected using the interconnection in the connectors. G1, G2 - frequency inputs from axle generators with possibility of setting of: input signal parameters (sine, rectangular 0 /24 V), number of impulses per revolution, medium-worn wheel diameter. The block operates even if one generator fails 50km/h - relay output, contact closes when 50 km/h speed is exceeded 5km/h - relay output, contact closes when speed sinks under 5 km/h ERR - relay output, contact closes at proper operation of the BPK01 module, contact opens at failure of the block or when NOUZE (EMERGENCY) input is active. If one generator is failed, contact closes periodically. TEST - binary input, simulates the exceeding of 5 km/h level for door blocking function testing NOUZE - binary input, disables the door blocking function at speed over 5 km/h KP - semiconductor output, generates the impulses 24 V DC for mechanical kilometer counter. It is possible to adjust the distance, which being passed, the 500 ms pulse for counter is generated 19

21 DL - semiconductor output, can be set to one of two regimes of operation: either periodical switch that generates 500 ms impulse everytime when preset distance is passed or constant switch that switches on after preset distance is passed, e.g. for maintenance purposes. The continuous light up and down is controlled using two pushbuttons. According to buttons' pressing time, light is turning on or off immediately or gradually within specific time interval. The achieved value of luminosity is stored in memory and will be used within next switching on. Control and switching circuits are galvanic insulated. The block is designed for fastening in 35 mm DIN rail. Electronic Switch Unit BES01 Electronic switch unit BES01 is designed for remote switching of power circuits, e.g. signal lights in railway vehicles. It includes two independent solid-state switches, their control and power circuits are fully galvanic insulated. Module BPK01 The adjustable parameters are entered via RS232 interface using service programme on PC. In the same way, it is possible to read the passed distance stored in the BPK01's memory and to reset the internal kilometer counter. The main benefit of this solution is the possibility of power switching by low voltage and power. The BES01 unit is short-circuit resistant and monitors interrupted or disconnected load. This state information is reported to vehicle diagnostic system. Electronic switch units BES01 are delivered for power supply voltage 24 V DC and output current 4 A. Optionally, a modification for supply voltage 48 V DC is available. Luminosity Controllers BRN For luminosity control, two types of controllers are produced. The unit BRN01 allows continuous luminosity control of halogen light of 12V / 20W. For luminosity control of LED light 12 V or 24 V / 200 ma, the unit BRN02 is delivered. Fuel Rod Actuators SKM-SM3xx Fuel rod actuator with step-motor is designed for setting of fuel rod position at diesel engines. It is preferentially designed to be connected to control unit RKM02. The actuator is driven by step-motor and by means of gearbox with spur gearing, it controls the position of output rod in 60 range. The achieved position is held by stepmotor static torque. The regulation of the position and the actual position feedback is ensured by number of requested steps. If the supply voltage is dropped, the rod is returned to initial position by springs. Actuators are delivered in two sizes according to output torque (SKM31 and SKM32) and both directions of movement left and right. Luminosity Controller BRN01 The MSV elektronika s.r.o.'s fuel rod actuators are used in locos 754, 705.9, inspection vehicle MVTV2.2 and railcars 810 with new TEDOM engine. 20
