1 Analogue Input, -fold, MDRC, GH Q R0001 The analogue input is a DIN rail mounted device for insertion in the distribution board. It is connected to the EIB via the bus connecting terminal supplied. The analogue input has inputs for connecting external physical sensors with output signals in ranges of 0/ to 20 ma or 0 to 5/10 V. By connecting the 230 V auxiliary supply, the analogue input is able to provide active sensors with 2 V DC at a max. 100 ma. The device requires a power supply of 230 V. The range of the input signal can be selected for each input, independent of the other inputs. The voltage ranges 0 1 V, 0 5 V and 0 10 V and the current ranges 0 20 ma and 20 ma are therefore available. Value Apart from being able to send switching telegrams, each input can also output the value of the current input signal. The output of this value can be carried out with a resolution of either 8 or 16 bit. The input has then a 1 byte or 2 byte communication object depending on this setting. ABB Input Analogue input, -fold Switch Threshold value Each input has two threshold values. These values can be set in 1% steps from 0% to 100% of the selected input signal range. All four inputs have a 1 bit communication object each that can send On or Off telegrams when there is an overrange or underflow in the two threshold values. If the input uses a 2 byte communication object, it has a characteristic curve for adapting to the project and to the input signal range that is actually used. This characteristic curve is specified by the settings in the parameters Base for 0% of the input signal, Base for 100% of the input signal and Factor. The preset options Base for 0 %: 0 Base for 100 %: 1000 Factor: 0,01 produce the following range of values with an input signal of 0 10 V: at 0 V: 0 * 0.01 = 0 at 10 V: 1000 * 0.01 = 10 With a 1 byte communication object, the sent value for 0% or 100% of the input signal can be selected between 0 and 255. One option is that the analogue input only sends a telegram with a new value if the current input signal has changed by a specified value. The size of the necessary change is then entered as a percentage value related to the maximum input signal. There is also the option of using a sending delay in order to limit the number of telegrams. In this way the analogue input only sends if the changed input signal exists for a specified period. Temporary signal peaks are thus filtered out. In the event of a failure of the bus voltage and / or auxiliary supply, the analogue input does not send any telegrams. In addition the connected sensors are not supplied with voltage in the event of a failure in the auxiliary voltage. The behaviour on bus voltage recovery can be defined in the parameters. The 8 bit or 16 bit values are sent either immediately with an adjustable delay or only according to the further settings for value change and cyclical sending. The switching telegrams are either sent immediately or only according to the further settings for an overrange or underflow in the threshold values or for cyclical sending. The communication objects for the input values and the threshold values can repeat the telegrams cyclically. All the inputs that are to send cyclically use a common time base and a unique time factor for setting the telegram repetition rate.
