6 Consulting role areas Business Our consultants work where business and technology converge. They partner with clients to explore their most challenging business problems, bring new insights, offer perceptive advice and develop innovative solutions. Focusing on strategy, process, organisational development, people and change, they work closely with clients up to CEO level. During your time on the Consulting by Degrees program, you will rotate through a variety of different assignments. Projects will run across a range of timeframes from three months to a year, providing a rich mix of experience and the opportunity for strong career growth. Technology Our Technical Consultants play a critical role in creating leading-edge solutions to help our clients meet their largest transformational challenges. They focus on growing a strong set of technical and consulting skills, then progressing onto solution design and technical leadership roles at increasing levels of responsibility. During your first two years on the program, you will move through a number of diverse assignments, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of different cutting-edge technologies. From intelligent transportation to improved healthcare, you will be part of a team that analyses our clients major business challenges, designs innovative IT-based solutions and drives the technical aspects of their successful delivery. 6 ibm.com/jobs/cdbeurope

7 Your training Throughout the program, you will benefit from continuous on-the-job learning and mentorship from your Consulting by Degrees Manager, local mentor and Project Managers. You will also have an individual education plan with classroom and virtual courses that are designed to accelerate your career as a consultant and will act as a building block to developing your expertise and promotion to the next level. The Consulting by Degrees training program is divided into four quadrants of six months. Each quadrant focuses on specific objectives and includes a blend of formal education and developmental project assignments. Together, these will rapidly build your consulting skills and your understanding of business and technology.
