3 Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing Summit (ADMS) 2014 April 4-5, Bangalore IACC Aerospace & Defense Forum was a supporting partner for ADMS 2014 organized by Aeromag and Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI). Eminent speakers included Mr. Stephane Lauret, CEO, SAFRAN India Pvt. Ltd, and Dr. Mike Hennell, Founder & Technical Director, LDRA. This event was attended by delegates from private industries, Defence PSUs, and DRDO labs. Dr. K. Tamilmani, Director General (AERO) DRDO lighting the lamp Welcome Reception during India Aviation Show 2014 March 12-26, Hyderabad IACC hosted a welcome reception on March 11, in honor of the U.S. delegates and Exhibitors at the India Aviation Show 2014 held on March 12-16, 2014 in Hyderabad. United States of America was the Partner Country. Mr. John McCaslin, Minister Counsellor of U.S. Commercial Services, and Mr. Michel Mullins, U.S. Consul General in Hyderabad, welcomed the U.S. delegates and addressed the audience. USTDA also addressed the audience. Leaders from U.S. companies Honeywell, Beechcraft, Bell Helicopter, Raytheyon, Hi-Tech Systems etc. attended the event along with FAA and other US Government agencies. MSME DEFEXPO 2013 December 12-14, Bangalore NSIC Ltd (National Small Industries Corporation Govt. of India) successfully organized the 3rd MSME Defexpo 2013, an International sub-contracting and supply chain exhibition on Defence, Aerospace and Homeland security. The event was supported by the Ministry of Defence (GOI), Ministry of MSMEs (GOI), Indian Air Force, DRDO and Government of Karnataka. IACC supported this event as an Associate Partner with Mr. Vasanth Kini on the advisory board. IACC supported 1-Day Workshop on IPR and TOT hosted by SAEINDIA October 26, Bangalore Mr. Neeraj Gupta, CEO, FormulateIP and Mr. Rakesh Prabhu, Partner, ALMT Legal addressed the sessions on Patent Portfolio Creation, Development, Management & Commercialization and Transfer of Technology. The workshop covered topics on protection of IP/patent assets, how IP/patent rules are applied to different assets, protection of an idea/product/process, how to build a strong IP / patent portfolio, IP budgeting, management, enforcement and commercialize IP / patent portfolio, licensing agreements, JV and partnership to share risks and rewards of bringing new technologies to market, how to raise venture capital, licensing in or licensing out of technology, rules pertaining to business, legal and financial aspects of the negotiating process etc.

5 IACC supported Defence Offset MSMEs Network with DPSUs, DRDO and Private Industry July 19-20, Bangalore IACC was a supporting partner for the 2-day interactive Offset Workshop and Buyer-Seller Meet titled Defence Offset MSMEs Network with DPSUs, DRDO and Private Industry hosted by the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) in association with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Ministry of MSME, The Society of Defence Technologists (SODET) and knowledge partners. Honorable Minister for MSME, K.H.Muniyappa, was the Chief Guest and Dr. C.G. Krishnadas Nair inaugurated the workshop. Mr. H.P.Kumar- CMD NSIC, Mr. Udaykumar- Director (P&M), Mr. K. IACC Aerospace & Defence Forum supported the Global Aerospace Industry Meet (GAIM 2012) December 10-11, Bangalore The Global Aerospace Industry Meet (GAIM 2012) was organized by the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) headquartered in Bangalore and was attended by over 140 delegates from India and overseas. The first day comprised of presentations and panel discussions on Aero Parks, Offset Policies, MSME Engagement, Skill Development, Material Supply Chain, Quality Certifications, Defence PSU Sourcing. The second day comprised of company presentations and B2B sessions. SAE Aerospace Conference and Exposition August 17-18, Chennai IACC Aerospace & Defence Forum was the exclusive supporting partner of SAE Aerospace Conference held at Anna University Campus. SAE India is the largest chapter of SAE International outside of USA and is a not for profit engineering and scientific society dedicated to advancement of auto and aerospace sectors. This conference debated on the current state of the Aerospace Industry in India, its engineering imperatives and what the various opportunities within this sector pertaining to R&D, Industry Best Practices, Regulatory and Commercial Challenges.
