OM is a thermoplastic material with very good mechanical and thermal properties. he material is also characterised by high strength, elasticity and dimensional stability. OM is resistant to a limited selection of chemicals. OM has low coefficient of friction and good resistance to wear. OM D OM polymers with selflubricating components. 10 Material roperties Glass Reinforced olyester GR Colour options: Glass reinforced polyester is a material with an extremely high resistance to wear and heat. Note: For use in hot water: Max. temperature +60 C (+140 F). For belts operating at high temperatures please note that heavy loads will cause longer permanent elongation. he dimensions of belts made in GR material can be approx 1.5% larger than OM belts. Antistatic Material AS Colour options: lectrically conductive OM is used where static electricity buildup must be avoided e.g. in the aerosol and electronics industries. AS is black because of the carbon contents. It has low impact resistance and approx. half the tensile strength of OM. Flame Retardant olyamide FR Colour options: Flame retardant polyamide is a fire restricting material used in surroundings with danger of igniting the belts. olyvinylidenfluoride VDF Colour options: olyvinylidenfluoride is characterised by a very high chemical resistance. VDF also has high wear resistance and good friction properties. olyamide A6 Colour options: Other custommade colours are optional on request. olyamide A6 is a thermoplastic material. he combination of its mechanical properties and chemical resistance makes this material suitable for many situations. his material is used for our nylon sprockets. olyamide A6.6 Colour options: Other custommade colours are optional on request. olyamide A6.6 is a thermoplastic material with many fine properties. he material has a high resistance to wear and high strength and great stiffness. olyamide has an extremely wide temperature range. he material features very high impact resistance and toughness.
