2 Preface Specifications Thank you for purchasing NOVABLUE Xenon H.I.D. (High Intensity Discharge) vehicle lighting systems. Before installing this product, please read the installation manual carefully. Remember, if in ANY doubt, consult a qualified auto-electrician. 3 Instructions - Post installation Instructions High voltage is dangerous! Do not attempt to work on cabling if damaged of when lights are operational Do not switch on lights until the vehicle engine has started Xenon H.I.D. lights are bright! Do not stare directly at light Always allow the lights to cool down before removing and handling the bulbs NEVER attempt to disassemble the components of your H.I.D. lighting kit Always get the headlamp alignment professionally checked after installing or modifying the lights In the event of an accident, turn your headlamps off to prevent possibility of electric shock. Before you start: Ensure the car is on a level surface with the handbrake firmly applied and wheel chocks in place Turn off the ignition and lights, allow the engine and headlights to cool down Never touch the glass surface of the bulb. If contaminated, clean with a cloth soaked in surgical spirit Remember, high voltage is dangerous, never operate H.I.D. lighting systems with damaged or disconnected cabling Tools & supplies you will need: Tools to remove existing headlamp units if easy access to rear of headlamp not available 25mm hole cutter, drill bits & electric drill Cable ties for securing wiring

4 Diagrams Installation Instructions - H4 Flex supplement cont d 8. Locate original 3 way headlamp connector and connect to control module 3 way connector. 9. Connect the Red control unit power cables to battery +ve connector and the Black cable to the battery ve (or a suitable ground connector). Please note, these wires are polarity sensitive, incorrect connection will damage the ballast unit. Secure cabling to existing wiring loom to prevent possible damage. 5 Installation Instructions - H4 Flex supplement - Fig 2 Installation Instructions - See Fig 1 Please refer to Fig 2 (wiring diagram) on page Referring to the vehicle service manual, remove left and right headlamp assembly's. If sufficient access is available at the rear of the unit this step may not be necessary. (Fig 3) 2. Open rear bulb cover of the headlamp and remove the original bulbs. Take care not to touch the glass surface of the bulb. (Fig 4) 3. Install new H4 Flex bulbs. Take care not to touch the glass surface of the bulb, paying particular attention to correctly positioning the locating tabs. 4. Fix ballast unit on a solid surface inside the engine bay using mounting kit provided. Please note, avoid exposed areas or areas subjected to high temperatures. (Fig 10) 5. Locate control unit within engine bay on a clean, oil free surface using adhesive pad provided. Location should be close enough to the vehicle battery or alternator to enable feed cables to be connected. Thought should also be given to which bulb connector is to be connected to the control unit. Please note, avoid exposed areas or areas subjected to high temperatures. 6. Carefully route control cables to both headlamps across front of vehicle to ballast location and make connections to bulb units. Connect HV ballast to bulb unit wires. 7. Re-install headlamp units. 1. Referring to your vehicle service manual, remove left and right headlamp assembly's. If sufficient access is available at the rear of the unit this step may not be necessary. 2. Open rear bulb cover of the headlamp and remove the original bulbs. Take care not to touch the glass surface of the bulb. 3. Check the bulb cover fitment and drill a hole in the back of the cap with a 25mm hole cutter Fig 3 Fig 4 Fig 5

6 Installation Instructions Installation Instructions 4. Place cabling connectors through hole in bulb cover and locate rubber grommet in hole. 8. Taking care not to trap the wiring inside the headlamp assembly, replace the rear headlamp cover. Re-install headlamp assembly to vehicle. 5. Remove protective cover from H.I.D. bulb, taking extreme care not to touch the surface of the bulb. 6. Carefully locate the H.I.D. bulb into the headlamp assembly, paying particular attention to correctly positioning the locating tabs. Fig 6 Fig 7 Fig 8 7. Depending on the type of connector supplied - see fig 1, note C (and with reference to your vehicle service manual), connect the Blue wire to the +ve bulb supply and the Black wire to the ve bulb feed on the original bulb connector inside the headlamp unit. Please note, these wires are polarity sensitive, incorrect connection will damage the ballast unit. If unsure, consult a qualified Auto Electrician. 9. Fix ballast unit on a solid surface inside the engine bay using mounting kit provided. Please note, avoid exposed areas or areas subjected to high temperatures. 10.
