6 The K+S Legacy Project Project Introduction: About the Project About the Project: Legacy project is a greenfield solution potash mine and production plant near Bethune, Saskatchewan Potash production from the Legacy mine is anticipated for 2016, reaching two-million-tonnes per year rate by the end of The gradual extension of the annual capacity to 2.86 million tonnes of potash products will occur in subsequent years. 14 Procurement Project: (LPET) KSPC has a EPCM (engineering, procurement, and construction management) contract with AMEC. KSPC Has embedded employs within Amec Procurement to support, control and assist Amec. KSPC issue's the Po s with all vendors. Operations: KSPC procurement team based in Saskatoon and at Site, deals with all normal scoops outside Project. Wellfield operations, KSPC trailers, maintenance, HR, Training etc... Procedures aligned with K+S procedures.
15 K+S Potash Canada Legacy Project Contract and Procurement Strategy Update The K+S Legacy Procurement team in conjunction with AMEC Engineering Supply Chain would like to advise all interested in providing goods or services to the Legacy Project, of the following: The project execution plan must be mainly based on large-scale packages; however, K+S is committed to working with local contractors and suppliers where possible. K+S encourages local contractors and suppliers to consider collaboration where possible to provide goods or services. K+S does encourage the collaboration of the local business community and First Nations and Metis parties in the area. 19
16 K+S Potash Canada Legacy Project Contract and Procurement Strategy Update K+S will also create an Internal line card of local contractors and suppliers that will be made available to large contractors and suppliers for utilization during their construction or fabrication phase of the project. K+S also encourages local contractors and suppliers to contact us for long-term business opportunities, such as maintenance. 20
