5 DVIR info is transmitted to IANA IANA completes the DVIR GIER identifies the IEP IDD provides an electronic driver signature IDD PIN verifies MC SCAC and DOT# IANA returns a DVIR confirmation # to MC IEP uses the DVIR system to alert Facility Operator and M&R Vendor of RCD prior to in-gate RCD equipment is held in Gate Hold / Bad Order status Upon repair and prior to outgate, IEP releases the equipment from Gate Hold/Bad Order status At gate, the driver reports the RCD code to the facility operator at time of in gate Facility operator furnishes copy DVIR to driver Facility operator transmits the DVIR info collected to IANA for DVIR completion Similar info collected by FO as the virtual process RCD equipment reported by the FO to the IEP as Gate Hold / Bad Order status Upon repair and prior to outgate, IEP releases the equipment from Gate Hold/Bad Order status. 5

6 DVIR.Intermodal.org IANA s goal is to deliver every DVIR submitted to the appropriate IEP Currently, IANA and OCEMA each have DVIR processing systems IANA / OCEMA are cooperating to ensure DVIR delivery for all customers of either system We are in the process of establishing connectivity between IANA and OCEMA systems Motor Carrier s should register with IANA IMMEDIATELY! 6

7 IANA charges IEPs $0.02 for DVIR Processing $0.02 IANA Members / $0.03 IANA Non-members Similar pricing is offered to 3 rd Parties contracted by IEPs All Inclusive price enabling: Collection of DVIRs from Motor Carriers Processing of DVIRs to identify the IEP and provide an electronic driver signature; including MC DOT# & SCAC validation Delivery to IEPs, Facility Operators and M&R Vendors Future Gate Hold / Bad Order release delivery DVIR Storage & Retrieval 7

8 New IEPs that wish to register will click on the link Click Here to register. to begin the registration process. Existing users will simply log in with their User Name and Password. IEP, FO, MRV will complete the General Details screen, this includes: Company information Creating a Username / Password ID Billing and Technical contacts (If different than main user) 8

9 IEP must register for each IEP DOT# IEP must have equipment registered in GIER IEP must register with same SCAC / DOT# association as GIER 9

10 User selects how they wish to use IANA s DVIR Reporting Service: Send DVIRs to IANA for processing Receive completed DVIRs from IANA Both Send DVIRS and Receive Completed DVIRs Some IEPs are also Facility Operators and may want to send DVIRs to IANA for the Supplemental In-Gate Process MC will be required to accept the on-line terms and conditions of the services selected A copy of the Terms and Conditions will be displayed and available for download The User will enter their name and then click accept The name of the person accepting the terms and conditions and the IP address will be stored in the system 10

11 Establish the DVIR data connectivity configuration details Users can send, receive or both send and receive DVIRs Establish the method for data transfer EDI, XML, CSV, Fixed File Format, Capture of ftp details if 322, 315 or XML is selected 11

12 No Defect DVIRs can be directed to a different location than RCD DVIRs IANA also offers storage and retrieval of the No Defect DVIRs 12

14 For each location, the IEP selects the appropriate FO and MRV The FO and MRV must be registered in the system to be displayed for IEP selection IANA will send a copy of the IEPs DVIR and Damage Hold Notifications to the selected FO and MRV System displays whether the company is a FO or MRV, as well as how they have elected to receive the information 14

15 This completes the initial registration process An will be sent advising of the successful registration. Attached to the will be any pertinent information required, for example EDI specifications. 15

16 Users may query DVIRs by the DVIR Number assigned by IANA Access is limited to DVIRs that the user is approved to receive Enter the DVIR number and the system will return an on screen copy of the DVIR DVIRs may be downloaded in.pdf format 16

17 Users will have the ability to run reports for a specific date range Number of DVIRs processed Number complete / incomplete 17

18 Users will also have the ability to run RCD statistic reports, by date range, to ID the types of RCDs that have been reported 18
