(IT) PGDCA Admission Procedure 1 MCA/ MCA Lateral entry A candidate seeking admission to MCA programme should be a Graduate with at least 50% marks and 45% marks in case of SC, ST, OBC (excluding Creamy Layer) category of Madhya Pradesh in the aggregate of any UGC/AICTE approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto. Recognized Bachelor s degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration with Mathematics at (10+2) level or at Graduate level. Admission Details for MCA: Admission through Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). 2. DATE OF ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION Entrance Test (For UG & PG Non-CET) : June 25, 2016, Saturday. * Result of Admission test will be declared 2 days before the counseling of respective programme. The merit list will be prepared considering 50% weightage of the test and 50% weightage of percentage of marks in XII standard for UG programmes or percentage of marks in I & II year for PG programmes. Total questions 50 Duration 2 hrs. 5 Procedure for online submission of Application Forms BCA/ MBA(Computer Mgt.)/M.Sc. (Computer Science)/M.Sc. (IT) The applications should be submited through The application fee of Rs. 750/- (For SC/ST candidates, Rs. 400/- only) must be paid through mponline portal, OR through its authorized kiosk. Last date of submission of application form is 21st June, The details of eligibility, number of seats, fee structure, date of test etc. are available on the university website, 3. Procedure for online submission of Application Forms M.Tech. Programmes The applications should be submited through last date for submission of the application form is June 07, Application fee for each group of courses is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST of M.P. domicile) The student can refer the site for the list of kiosks authorized for form submission. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates for all the M.Tech. programmes. However, if the seats are not filled up with GATE qualified candidates, non-gate qualified and sponsored candidates will be considered on the basis of written test conducted by the department. Govt UTDs may decide to charge the fee on yearly or semester basis. ** is subject to change Instructions for ST/SC/OBC Candidates Reservation of seats in courses offered by the University is in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh government. The benefits of reservation are available, only to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. The fees structure mentioned at our website is applicable for all the students. However, for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) students partial fees amount is reimbursed from M.P. Tribal Welfare Department as per M.P. Govt. rules and regulation after they apply and are eligible as per M.P. Govt. guidelines. Procedure for Refund/ Cancellation If any candidate leaves the course before the 14 August 2016, the fee will be returned to him/her after deducting 10% of the fees deposited by him/her. Only caution money will be refunded if a candidate leaves any course after the said date. In cases where candidates have fetched an undertaking to the effect that their admission may be deemed cancelled in case they fail to produce their result of qualifying examination with required eligibility percentages by September 30, 2016, there will be no refund of fee deposited. Where a provisionally admitted student is declared fail, his/her fee deposited will be refunded after deducting 10% of the fees deposited by him/her.

8 Procedure for Interdepartmental Transfer A student can cancel admission in one department and take up admission in other department of the university without any deduction of fee. The partial/full fees deposited in one department can be transferred to other department. However, the student needs to submit the application to both departments for cancellation (submit original fee receipt) as well as admission in other department (submit photocopy of fee receipt) to facilitate the timely transfer of fees. Hostel Accommodation There are four boys hostel and five girls hostels.. Accommodation in the hostels is limited. Therefore apply for hostel immediately after getting admission. For hostel accommodation contact: Chief Warden (Hostels), Phone: , Eligibility for Admission/Appearing in Entrance Test - A relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria shall be admissible to the bonafide SC/ST applicants of Madhya Pradesh only. A relaxation of 5% in eligibility will also be applicable to Physically Challenged (Nishaktjan) as defined by M.P. Government. The candidates awaiting their results of qualifying examination can also apply for admission but the candidate has to submit the final mark sheet of qualifying examination by 14th August 2016 or the date as decided by the University. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from Universities other than Devi Ahilya University are required to submit Eligibility Certificate issued by the Devi Ahilya University, Indore. New admission will be given only in first semester / first year of the course. Provisional admission will be given to students having supplementary in qualifying exam

Age Limit As per the government rules the upper age limit for male candidates in admission to undergraduate courses is 22 years whereas for postgraduate degree courses it is 28 years as on July 01, A relaxation of three years in upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC and physically handicapped candidate shall be provided for the applicants of Madhya Pradesh only. For candidate belonging to physically challenged category upper age limit for admission to Graduate and Post Graduate courses will be 30 and 35 years, respectively. There is no upper age limit for female, Rules and regulations issued by Department of Higher education, M.P. Govt. will be followed. As per the UGC guidelines Reservation Policy and Conversion of Seats Reservation of seats in courses offered by the University will be in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh government.
