3 RF Lite Overview RF Lite is a software package that runs as a standalone application on a PC. It allows the import of a location map, placement of ISA100 wireless devices on the map, and guides the user through a simulation of RF coverage. Better and faster front end proposals by Sales. Network planning risk reduction. Simple and easy to use by non- RF experienced personnel. Higher confidence and less re- work after installation.

4 RF Lite Overview RF Lite is designed for ease of use. Creation of an application layout and RF analysis is a step-by-step process. RF analysis is performed with conservative parameters. Reference DMB13-16 titled RF Lite Software Availability, dated March 4, 2013, for RF Lite software installation guidelines. Getting Started click on the RF Lite icon or open the RF Lite program on your PC.

5 RF Lite Initial screen: create a new project file or open an existing project file

16 RF Lite Ruler Calibration for Image After ruler calibration is selected, move cursor to initial location of measured object, click mouse, hold and drag mouse to end location and release. Dialog box appears for entering dimension value in ft. or meters.

26 RF Lite RF Analysis After devices are placed on map, click on coverage tab to display RF coverage map view.

27 RF Lite RF Analysis Go back to Views tab to add additional devices, and then return to Coverage view to recalculate and display RF coverage map. Routing FDAP was added.

31 RF Lite Device Connectivity Connectivity view displays device communications connection paths. Placement of mouse pointer on connection link displays RSSI value.

32 RF Lite Device Connectivity Routes view displays device most probable communications connection paths. Primary route displayed in green, secondary in orange.

33 RF Lite Network Analysis The network in the design area is validated to have redundant connectivity and capacity.
