2 A week in Stavanger Entrepreneurship Week will be an eventful week which hopes to engage people on many levels. Its primary aim is to act as a meeting place for students, entrepreneurs, and employed people to mix during many of the planned events. There will be a host of lectures by international speakers, notable contributors and visits to companies. Attendants may participate for either the full week, selected days, or one of several half-days. The intention is that the full week for students can function as a course unit. Such a unit will include lectures and key topics, selected company visits, and group workshops. The groups will be comprised of students with mixed academic backgrounds, with the aim to delivering presentations on central topics. Course material will also be available in addition to the documentation following the lectures. This full week schedule is also open for people from industry. We expect industrial participants to pick out the topics and presentations of interest, thus making their own agenda for the week based upon their own needs. Accommodation & Transport Getting to Stavanger Stavanger city is easily accessible by bus, train or airplane. Direct connections to the local airport at Sola arrive regularly from (to name but a few connections) Oslo, Copenhagen, Schiphol, Frankfurt, Stanstead, Gatwick, Newcastle, Aberdeen, and Krakow. There is an air shuttle bus with regular departures from the airport, taking around 20 minutes to transport you to the city centre. Accommodation Stavanger has a wide range of hotels in the city centre, which is situated just 5-10 minutes away from the university campus by bus or taxi. Participants will be required to organise this independently. Events will take place at either Ipark, which is a 5 minute walk from the university, or at the university campus itself. Buses 6, 7 and X60 have routes which pass directly through campus, stopping outside the main university reception building, Arne Rettedals hus. Alternatively one can pre-order a taxi or hire one from one of the many taxi ranks in the city centre. For company visits organised group transport will be provided.
