1 NEW /Agriculture State Water Resources Control Board 2014 State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) To disperse up to $10 million to agricultural operations investing in irrigation and distribution systems in California that reduce water use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The project must reduce water use AND GHG emissions. Applications that do not provide information on reducing water consumption AND GHG emissions will be ineligible for funding. $150,000 with a 50% match 11/10/14 Installation must be on a California agricultural operation. For the purpose of this program, an agricultural operation is defined as row, vineyard, field and tree crops, commercial nurseries, nursery stock production and greenhouse operations. Page 1

NEW * Cal Recycle Organics Loan Program FY 2014/2015 Projects must be located in California and result in permanent, annual, and measurable: Reductions in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from the handling or landfilling of California-generated green and food materials; and Increases in quantities (tons) of Californiagenerated green materials, food materials, or alternative daily cover diverted from landfills and composted, digested, or diverted to other fermentation processes. It supports the development of microgrids that incorporate clean, low-carbon energy resources with energy storage and on-site energy management systems. These microgrids will help the state of California achieve its carbon reduction goals and serve as models for integrating a range of technologies into the larger grid, including electric vehicles.
