1 2015 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT Sustainability is in our nature. We re a pioneering leader in the U.S. voluntary renewable energy market. Since 2001, we ve worked with thousands of companies to help connect them to cleaner choices. Our mission is to make it ever easier for all organizations to embrace clean, renewable energy. In 2015, we issued a challenge to ourselves. How could we become a greener, more socially responsible business and an even better place for our team of clean energy experts to work? The results are rolling in. 1

2 WE MOVE THE NEEDLE TO MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE. We walk our talk and offset 100% of our greenhouse gas emissions to achieve carbon neutrality. We even take it a step further and also offset all of the emissions associated with our employees personal vehicle use and home electricity use. It s our business to help our clients achieve their clean energy goals. In 2015, we provided RECs, carbon offsets, and long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) that reduced carbon emissions by 4,667,739 MTCO2e. Goal: Maintain carbon neutrality. Reduce carbon intensity per dollar revenue 5% by 2020, relative to a 2015 baseline. Our staff members and our community benefit. We installed solar tubes and high efficiency lighting to save energy and improve our work space. We encourage telecommuting to alleviate traffic, improve productivity, and promote air quality. WASTE 4 MTCO2e EMPLOYEE COMMUTING 12 MTCO2e We support healthy commutes by providing employees with a regional transit pass and on-site bicycle and shower facilities. We promote virtual communication to reduce the need for business travel. 2

3 WE STRIVE FOR ZERO WASTE. Every day, we find ways to do more with fewer natural resources. We intentionally reduce waste wherever we can. For example, we send all our product information electronically. Then, we divert all unavoidable waste from landfill to recycling and composting. Taking it a step further, we also recycle all e-waste through the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials, a recycling center based in Boulder, Colorado that has served as a model for other programs around the country. Whenever possible we recycle or donate our used office furniture and supplies, and we source new furniture and appliances that are as sustainable as possible. Goal: Achieve zero waste certification by the end of WE HARNESS PHILANTHROPY. Renewable Choice gives back approximately 1% of our total revenues to civic and philanthropic endeavors that support our local community. Giving back is a theme for Thanks to the initiative of our civic-minded staff, in 2015 we inaugurated an employee donation program for Colorado Gives Day, an annual event that encourages giving to Colorado non-profit organizations from around the state. Employees can make contributions to the organization(s) of their choice and receive a matching donation from Renewable Choice. Our newly-minted volunteerism program encourages our team to contribute to the community. We provide up to 16 hours of paid time off for a combination of individual and company-sponsored volunteer days. Goal: Develop a partnership with a local clean energy NGO to increase our philanthropic and volunteerism impact in

4 WE SUPPORT OUR TEAM S GROWTH AND WELLBEING. Renewable Choice is proud to have a culture where we treat our team like family. The average length of tenure for our employees is more than six years of consecutive service not bad for a 14 year old company! We attribute this tenure to our collaborative, values-driven work environment. In 2015, we launched our popular monthly lunch-nlearn program to provide informal training to our staff members on a variety of professional development topics ranging from interpersonal communications to industry updates. To date, we ve provided more than 100 hours of training through this program, with a full schedule of sessions heading into We value diversity as a way to bring a variety of perspectives to the table. Like many businesses in our region and industry, we struggle to successfully recruit from traditionally underrepresented groups. 5 WE CONTRIBUTE TO A SEISMIC SHIFT TOWARD RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS. Renewable Choice is a proud B Corp, named Best for the Planet in 2013 by the national B-Corp community for our commitment to sustainability and the achievement of our mission. In 2015, we launched our highly successful B Team, an internal group of employees tasked with living our B values by digging deeper, getting better, and advancing our goals. Incredibly, more than 50% of our staff have participated in this endeavor, focusing on such valuable areas of improvement as financial transparency, employee health & wellness, and civic engagement. Goal: Achieve a score of 100+ on our 2015 B-Impact Assessment, the evaluation tool used by the B-Corp community to assess social and environmental business performance. What is a B Corp? B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
