2 Module Bay Description Remote Annunciars include a bay assembly, a power distribution interface module (PDI), a Transponder Interface Module, and an interconnect harness. Communications with the host fire alarm control panel are via a Remote Unit Interface (RUI or RUI+) connection that allows for up 2500 ft (762 m) distance. RUI can communicate with up a tal of 31 remote devices per master controller (on one or multiple RUI channels) and can be either Style 4 or Style 7 communications. Wiring can be either shielded or unshielded, twisted, or untwisted single pair wiring Remote Annunciar. This model is for applications that may require a full complement of the Remote Annunciar functions (refer the product selection lists on pages 3 and 4). Power is from a cabinet mounted Remote Power Supply (RPS) Basic Remote Annunciar. For remote annunciar applications that require less features in the cabinet, select this model which accepts power from a separate fire alarm control cabinet. (This model does NOT accept: a cabinet mounted power supply, expansion phone cards, Class A phone modules, RS-232 modules, panel mounted printers, or 24 I/O modules.) Optional Expansion Bays each include a PDI and accept a variety of optional modules for specific annunciar functions. The Battery Compartment (botm) accepts two batteries, up 50 Ah. Battery mounting does not interfere with available module space. (Not applicable the model ) Remote Annunciar Module Reference Packaging Availability Modules are power-limited (except as noted, such as relay modules) Enclosure are available for one, two, or three bay sizes or for cabinet rack mounting Boxes, doors with tempered glass inserts, and dress panels are available in beige or red (ordered separately) Refer document S for enclosure details Remote The optional Remote occupies the p bay of a Remote Annunciar.
