2 General coordinating activity and management of wp3 FVG Region has carried out the general coordinating activity within WP3 with regard to AAB structure and internal rules (3.2) and also with regard to the organization and set- up of the FISH GIS (3.3) system in cooperation with ARPA FVG. 2

3 WP 3.2: A.A.B state of the art In quality of Wp coordinator, FVG Region has drawn up rules of procedures of the AAB, these have been submitted to all partners and will be approved during the present meeting. Rules' main features Composition: 3 scientific experts at national level + 9 experts representing either partners and/or local tables. A scientific coordinator appointed upon proposal of the Steering Committee. He/she will coordinate AAB activities and will be assisted by a Deputy Coordinator. FVG Region will act as technical secretariat of the AAB The AAB will not issue any binding- decision, but it will provide the S.C. with opinions and addresss various issues to SC, acting as a decision- making organ. AAB will meet simultaneously to SC (meetings to be held in Ancona, Zara, Bari, Rijeka, Bologna and Udine). 3

5 WP 3.2: A.A.B state of the art It is absolutely necessary that, in order to ensure the efficiency of the AAB, all PPS, who have not done it yet, inform FVG Region NO LATER THAN 15th NOVEMBER 2013 about the name of their representative (local) Croatian and Albanian experts, at a national level, must be communicated by the same deadline, as well. Next meeting of the AAB will be held during the Zara Meeting (proposal February /March 2014) date to be confirmed tomorrow Moreover all pps should start consultation- Activity with local tables and representatives of their scientific institutions ( Universities, etc) 5

6 WP 3.2: A.A.B state of the art AAB - LOCAL TABLE On 7 October 2013 FVG Region has chaired the first local table with operators of the fishery sector and of the scientific institutions (ARPA, University of Trieste, OGS Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e Geofisica Sperimentale National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics etc.) During the meeting, ECOSEA project was illustrated (focus on WP 3, 4 and 5) and Operators were invited to propose and develop ideas / projects, concerning some pilot restocking actions, aimed at increasing biodiversity in our Region, especially in the perspective of a synergy with other financing tools and European funds such as FEP, regional laws, local plans of management. Next meeting will be held on 15/11/13. Also Regione Emilia-Romagna has held its first local table meeting on 24 th september 2013, where ECOSEA project has been illustrated to operators of the field. 6

7 WP.3.2: Work in progress FVG A Senior expert in Marine Biology Dr. Rossana Giorgi has been appointed, Dr. Giorgi is currently working in the Environment policies Department of Region FVG and will soon start cooperating in the implementation of Ecosea Project. She will also assume the role of FVG representative / expert A.A.B. Procurement procedure for appointing a junior technician in the fishing sector is ongoing. This technician will help the service in the implementation of WP 3, 4 and 5. 7

8 WP3.3 FishGIS: State of the Art Agreement with ARPA (no procurement procedure since Arpa is a regional Agency of Friuli Venezia Giulia) for wp 3 project implementation has been subscribed in these days. By means of this agreement FVG coordinator has ARPA FVG: commited to 1. Technical-scientific support for the implementation of the l FISHGIS at all partners' level. 2. The operational coordination activity with regards to all actions to be developed at pps sites. 3. Technical-scientific support to FVG Region within the implementation of wp 4 e 5, round about nursery areas, hatcheries installation, restocking actions, models for a sustainable management of the Adriatic fishery. Pietro ROSSIN (ARPA FVG) is the coordinator and contact point for the set up and implementation of Fish Gis at project level ( pietro.rossin@arpa.fvg.it, tel ). 8

9 WP3.3 FishGIS: state of the art Arpa and FVG Region have drawn up the first proposal of data/themes for GIS and it will be approved during this meeting. Partners were asked, also to identify their own expert / referent for GIS. 10 WP3.3 FishGIS: State of the Art In order to be able to start working efficiently on FISHGIS, all partners must take urgent steps to identify and communicate to the FVG WP coordinator their representative. As soon as this is done, ARPA FVG will hold a first restricted meeting where all GIS responsibles will be invited, thus all partners will be able to start, with no delay, all project activities, that are based on data and themes (layers) that will be presented by ARPA FVG today and tomorrow. 10

11 WP3.3 FishGIS: ACTION PLAN By 5/11/2013 all partners must have identified and communicated to Region FVG, WP coordinator both names of their AAB representatives and GIS experts. By ARPA FVG + Region FVG will organize a technical and operational meeting for the start up of activities. By all partners must have verified the availability of the data a in their regions. By web conference for checking the amount of data collected to ARPA FVG System. By all Partners must have filled the template provided by ARPA FVG. FISHGIS is expected to complete all collection and data ETL to webgis system by September
