3 BIOGRAPHY The primary mission of the Feed Your Mind campaign is to empower young people to take control of their lives. Through student engagement and comprehensive and innovative programs that address their social, physical, and economic needs and uses the entertainment business model as a source of inspiration the Free Your Mind campaign encourages them to be a more active participant in the decisions that will affect their lives. Additionally, Feed Your Mind works to foster a relationship between young people, parents, school officials, teachers, and other members of their community to achieve the common goal of developing the great minds of the future. Within a year of its existence, the Feed Your Mind campaign has worked with over 30 schools to host workshops, provide services as well as distribute supplies and information pertaining to education, healthy living, community building and more to over 70,000 students. Feed Your Mind s message and concept is simple; A successful career in any industry, including entertainment, is directly related to an individual s pursuit of mastering a craft. To build a foundation far from destruction is based on planting the right seeds to support your journey. Education is a must to fuel the drive to master any craft. Students from kindergarten to high school need to understand their responsibilities for the future. Outreach has been a huge part of my life experience and I know the positive impact those who are in the public eye and have made positive life choices can have on our youth. The Feed Your Mind Campaign delivers the message that a successful career in any industry is directly related to an individual s pursuit of mastering a craft through education. This message is reinforced by leveraging the entertainment industry s influence on young people and their environment. The Feed Your Mind Campaign focuses on a number of issues related to young people including: Teenage pregnancy Drugs Peer Pressure Anti-bullying Abuse HIV/AIDS Community Building Health College Prep And others - 3 -
4 BIOGRAPHY Founder Giovannie Pierre-Louis Gio is an artist and entertainment entrepreneur. Students from kindergarten to high school need to understand their responsibilities for the future. In the past she was involved in several major campaigns including Act for Youth, Americrop National Services, TAMP, Community Council & Mediation, Pump Ya Breaks Program, and the Over Achiever s School Tour. Gio drives this message home drawing on her own professional and personal life experiences. She calls it the #UPMOVEMENT, two hearts can change the world won t you come and join me on this journey to make the world a better place for the children of the future.
