One in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys experience sexual abuse/assault by age 18. This means that child care providers often interact with abuse victims in their care. This workshop will explore what providers may see in traumatized children, and how they can heal. This workshop will also discuss normal sexual development in children compared to sexual behaviors that should raise concerns. registration 7/25/2009 Level One Credential Modules 1 Child Development Overview & 2a Health Issues for Children in Group Care Andrea Angileri 3:30pm New child care providers/awareness level The Level One Credential is the foundational part of a larger credentialing system. Modules 1, 2a, 2b and 2c are the four components to achieve Tier One for License Exempt providers. Module 1 is an overview of child development for children birth through school age.
