This course is designed for those who have never used a computer or for those who are thinking about buying a personal computer. Become familiar with terminology. This class will help you become more comfortable using a personal computer (PC) and, more specifically, the Windows 8 interface. This course will help you to define what a PC is, and familiarize you with the Windows 8 user interface and its basic capabilities. 5 COMPUTER TRAINING WORD - LEVEL 2 Prerequisite: Word - Level 1. In Word - Level 1, you gained all the basic skills that you need to create a wide range of standardized business documents. If you use Word on a regular basis, then once you have mastered the basic skills, the next step is to improve your proficiency. To do so, you can customize and automate the way Word works for you, and you can improve the quality of your work by enhancing your documents with customized Word elements. In this course, you will increase the complexity of your Word documents by learning to use customized lists, tables, charts, graphics and perform mail merges. Cost: $115 Tue. You will work with tables, simple math formulas, envelopes, labels and mail merge features. You will insert special characters, learn shortcuts and work with linking Excel into Word and inserting hyperlinks. In this course, you will learn to create macros, apply advanced analysis techniques to more complex data sets, troubleshoot errors, collaborate on worksheets, and share Excel data with other applications. You will use formulas and functions to perform calculations in your worksheets, and you will modify worksheets by manipulating cells and data, by searching for and replacing data, and by checking for spelling errors. You will format worksheets and prepare them for printing. You will also begin working with larger workbooks that contain multiple worksheets. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: streamline data entry and maintain data integrity, join tables to retrieve data from unrelated tables, create flexible queries to retrieve data and modify tables, improve the functionality of Access forms, customize reports to organize the displayed information and produce specific print layouts, share data between Access and other applications. 47 EMT CLASS The Emergency Medical Technician Course is a 16 week program that includes theory, practical lab, clinical practice and field internship. It consists of 8 modules of instruction, airway management, patient assessment, medical emergencies, trauma, infants and children and ambulance operations. The course is based on the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards & Instruction Guidelines which is the National Standard Curriculum for EMS Education which is the foundation of knowledge and skills of the Emergency Medical Technician. This course includes recognition and stabilization of pediatric & adult medical and traumatic diseases and injuries, agitated delirium, sickle cell crisis, age-related assessment & treatment modification for the geriatric patient, special needs, terminally ill, developmental disabilities, etc. Also included in this program is the AHA Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition & Stabilization certification course.
