3 Selex Galileo Spazio nel Programma METOP di EUMETSAT monitoraggio dell ozono (1/2) GOME (Global Ozone Monitoring Equipment) Status GOME I in flight onboard ERS 2 (1995) GOME II in flight onboard METOP Ref: 10/11/ The instrument has been developed for ESA / EUMETSAT in co-operation with CNR Bologna Function GOME is an across-track scanning optical spectrometer, covering the range nm; this spectral range is split into four channels. GOME's task is to sense the sunlight being reflected or scattered in the Earth's atmosphere and at its surface. The measured spectrum contains absorption features, which can be used to derive quantitative information on the atmospheric gases (ozone, others).

8 Selex Galileo Spazio nella Missione PRISMA di ASI PRISMA (2011) PRISMA (PRecursore IperSpettrale della Missione Applicativa) is a small mission (<500 kg) for Earth Observation (environmental monitoring and risk management) under development for the Italian Space Agency (ASI). Status: currently Phase C/D Galileo Avionica contribution to PRISMA: Optical payload made by an Hyperspectral camera and a Panchromatc camera PhotoVoltaic Assembly (PVA) and Power Control & Distribution Unit (PCDU) for the S/C AA-STR Autonomous Star tracker for satellite attitude control The Team: PRISMA is a small mission led by Carlo Gavazzi Space (responsible for the satellite) with Galileo Avionica responsible for the Hyperspectral payload. Contemporary on-ground reference measurements were carried out for data validation and calibration. SIM.GA July-August 2006 The system was embarked on a Light Aircraft Allegro 2000 and flown on Lazio and Tuscany summer wildfires. The campaign was carried out under the ESA- AIRFIRE program).
