TheNSShasscopedtheattitudesofarangeofpostgraduatepsychologystudents (includingthosefromclinical,clinicalneuropsychologyandeducational psychologycohorts)whoalsosupportthebeliefthattheproposedexamisan unnecessaryadditionalrequirementonpsychologystudentstransitioninginto clinicalwork,andthatitunderminestheregistrationprocessalreadyrequired. WebelieveinAHPRA sabilitytoensurethateducatorsandsupervisorsare appropriatelyaccreditedandmeetthenationalrequirements.furthermore,we donotbelievethatanyadditionalmeasurestoensurecompetenceshouldbeat thecostofstudents. Ifsuchanexamdoescomeintoeffect,weadvocatethefollowing.Firstly,that thereshouldbenocostforstudentstosittheexam.requiredcostofsuch anexamshouldbemadetransparent,andcompletedonanotgforgprofitbasis.
