1 IFMS STARTER KIT FOR SAP PM/CS The ifms system is designed to complement SAP and optimizes the execution of SAP-based business processes in the technology, infrastructure and commercial facility management areas and extends the functional scope of SAP through complementary ifms software modules. To simplify getting started with infrastructure facility management, Syskoplan Reply offers an ifms starter kit for SAP PM/CS. The starter kit facilitates optimization of floor space and occupancy management quality and achieves cost savings. THE CHALLENGE There are many challenges when it comes to optimizing quality and costs in area and occupancy management and automatic space processing: Areas have to be documented and the types of use and occupancy must be kept up to date. Over- and under-occupancy as well as vacancies should be recognized, analyzed across locations and visualized in CAD plans. Space figures should be generated, area costs integrated and automatically cleared in SAP FI-CO. Structures, storeys and rooms should be saved in SAP PM/CS and be available as the basis for further SAP-based business processes. Redundant and thus complex and erroneous data entries in the CAD system and in SAP PM/CS should be avoided. CAD plans and their spaces or rooms should be integrated into the SAP system. Integration with SAP allows SAP to be controlled using the CAD editor and allows presentation of CAD objects in ifms with a complete history and planning variants (optional) possible.
