5 2. NOTICES FOR APPLICANTS A. After online application, the desired department or major cannot be changed. B. All applicants must pay the application fee online, and the fee and all required documents submitted will not be returned. C. Those who do not have a passport cannot apply for the admission. D. In cases where there are different names on the documents, the applicant must submit the evidential documents. E. Admitted applicants must submit the certificate of international student insurance until September 11, 2015, otherwise the admission will be cancelled. F. The admission will be revoked if an applicant's documents are found to be false or counterfeit, or the applicant is revealed to have been admitted improperly. G. Admitted applicants must enter Korea within 15 days after the class opening day (September 14, 2015), otherwise the admission will be cancelled. H. Accurate contact number and address should be written on the application form so that applicants can be reached immediately. Jeju National University is not responsible for any consequence that might occur due to incorrect contact information. (The change of contact information should be reported to the Center for International Affairs.) I. Notices about immigration & sojourn - Submission of documents required for study in Korea to the related institutions such as immigration office should be carried out by the applicant or his/her parents in person. - In order to obtain a visa and qualification to study in Korea, admitted applicants must submit required documents such as academic background proof, admission certificate issued by President of Jeju National University, etc. to diplomatic offices. 6 3. FIELDS OF STUDY A. Fields of study: Refer to Appendix 1 B. The number of students to be admitted: A number of students will be admitted to each fields of study based on the applicants' scholastic ability. 4. ELIGIBILITY & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Eligibility A. General Eligibility 1 Applicants who have level 3 or higher in TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korea)* and/or who graduated from Korean universities *A score of the 40 th TOPIK is acceptable if submit until June 17, Applicants who have obtained TOEFL PBT 550, CBT 210, IBT 80, IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550, or an equivalent score. (This condition is not applied to the departments of Korean Language & Literature and Japanese Language & Literature.) *Applicants whose English proficiency is acknowledged by their prospective academic professors can apply without TOPIK score. B. Master Course 1 Foreign nationals whose parents have foreign nationalities and who have completed and earn a bachelor's degree or who are expected to earn the degree by the end of August, Overseas Korean nationals who have completed elementary, middle, and highschool education in overseas that are equivalent to those of Korean education and who have earned a bachelor's degree or who are expected to earn the degree by the end of August, Nursing major applicants should be a registered nurse. C. Doctor Course 1 Foreign nationals whose parents have foreign nationalities and who have completed and earn a master's degree or who are expected to earn the degree by the end of August, Overseas Korean nationals who have completed elementary, middle, and highschool education in overseas that are equivalent to those of Korean education and who have earned a master's degree or who are expected to earn the degree by the end of August, Nursing major applicants should be a registered nurse. D. Integrated Master & Doctor Course: Eligibility is same as that of Master course, but applicants are required to have an average grade of 85/100 or higher (2.55/4.0, 2.90/4.3, 3.10/4.5) in their Bachelor's degree course. For those who transferred, their grades obtained only after the transfer are applied. *In case of Taiwanese nationals, if one of their parents has Taiwanese nationality and the other has Korean nationality, he/she is eligible for the application. 2

Submit until September 11, 2015 *National Health Insurance policy holder can submit the relevant documents. Document Submission Instructions A. All documents must be written in Korean or English. If the documents are in other languages, they must be attached with a notarized/certified translation in Korean or English. B. The official graduation certificate, transcript and other documents must be attached with Apostille issued by a government office designated by the country where the school/university is located. If the country is not a contracting state to Apostille, the documents must be attached with Consular confirmation issued by the Korean Consul in the country. The confirmation documents must be original copies. Those who graduated from Chinese school/university can submit a certified report of degree/diploma issued by the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center/China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center. ( C. Those who are from 21 countries designated by the Ministry of Justice must submit parent-child relationship documents. Chinese nationals whose family register is separated from their parents must submit both copies (applicant and parents) of family registers with parent-child relationship and its translation in Korean or English. 3

The personal information will not be used for any other purposes but for university admission process. The admitted applicants' information will be used for Jeju National University school register. 2 After application fee payment, the information on the application form cannot be modified or cancelled. So please be fully aware of this admission guide and check the information on the application before the payment. 3 Please make sure to put exact address and contact number at home and abroad on the application form so that the admission process and guidelines can be informed immediately. Application Fee 1 Application Fee: 65,000 won 2 How to pay: Online payment on the application website 3 Credit Card, Real-Time Account Transfer, Mobile Payment, U-Cash Charge & Payment 4 Payment Period: May 29(Fri) 09:00 June 5(Fri) 18:00, 2015 The fee includes the online application service fee. After November 28, 2014, the paid fee will not be refunded. 4

9 6. ADMISSION PROCESS A. Admission Criteria: Document Screening (by departments) B. Document Screening: More than two full-time professors including a head professor of the relevant program should assess applicants scholastic competence on their majors and the financial standings based on the submitted documents. - Applicants scholastic competence on their majors is to be assessed based on GPA, personal introduction, study plan, recommendation letter from the professors of home university and prospective academic advisor s (or senior professor s ) recommendation letter. - Financial standings concerning tuition, living expenses, etc. are to be assessed based on an financial support confirmation. - Applicants who are considered to be lacking in scholastic competence and the financial standings will not be allowed for admissions. D. The assessment of applicants scholastic competence on their majors and financial standings should be conducted by a head professor of relevant program and the result sheets should be immediately submitted to the dean of the Center for International Affairs. E. The Admission Committee will determine successful applicants based on the result sheets for the assessment of applicants scholastic competence on their majors and financial standings. 5

10 7. NOTICES FOR ADMITTED APPLICANTS A. Announcement of Admitted Applicants - Friday, July 10, Check the list with the application number at B. Tuition Payment: July 27(Mon) - July 29(Wed), 2015 Receive a tuition bill from Center for International Affairs Transfer the fees until the deadline into applicant's virtual payment account on the bill. (NH Bank, Korea) Admitted applicants must receive the bill from Center for International Affairs in order to pay the tuition fee at the designated bank (NH Bank) within the payment period. Jeju National University is not responsible for any failure in paying the tuition. Admitted applicants who fail to pay the tuition during the period will be considered to have no intention of entrance. Those who decided not to enter Jeju National University must submit the Reason for Renouncement of Entrance to the Center for International Affairs immediately. The renouncement of entrance can only be processed through the official document written by admitted applicant or their parents. Required documents for renouncement: Reason for renouncement of entrance (JNU Form), a receipt of tuition payment, a copy of bank account, and a seal. C. Graduation Certificate and Transcript: Admitted applicants who submitted attested copies of academic documents must submit hard copies of Apostille or Consular Confirmations to Center for International Affairs by the tuition payment deadline (July 29, 2015) in order to get the final admission to Jeju National University. D. How to Get Admission Certificate: The admission certificate issued by the President of Jeju National University will be sent by post to admitted applicants who completed tuition payment. Please put exact mailing address and phone number on the application form so that you can receive the admission certificate. 6
