Heartmoves is open to everyone and is designed to be safe for people with stable long term health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or obesity. Heartmoves is run by accredited exercise professionals specifically trained in managing safe, low to moderate intensity physical activity programs. Please find the listings of location below. Assessment at week 1 and week 8. People can continue to attend or exit program after this. Exercise physiologist assists with resistance training and bike exercise. Supervised group walking option. Education sessions on risk factors, heart disease and diabetes are conducted through yarning. In attendance at each consultation will be a range of health students and qualified health professionals, thus clients are contributing to the education of the future health workforce. IpAC provides a holistic program of education and support, tailored to meet the needs of the client in order that they can self manage their chronic disease.
