Transcription

1 Analysis of PSAR ( Patent Search and Analysis Report) efforts made by Degree s affiliated to GTU. This report gives insights about efforts of various branches of engineering discipline at every college and their performance. We had earlier published the report ( based on the data fetched by GTU covering all the final year students of Degree s. We are sharing a detailed analysis of the IPR literacy drive and PSAR efforts across various engineering branches within every degree engineering college. Every student was supposed to study minimum 5 patents related to India, Europe, US and other patent offices. This exercise was exclusively designed to increase the innovation-index of each IDP/UDP and final year project. We have studied the performance of every branch in every degree engineering college based on the online data which was submitted as a part of the final year project. We have considered the number of students registered for Phase 1/2 as the reference for every branch for every college while calculating the figures. We have tried to rank specific branch wise performance across various colleges based on the data, till the required last submission date. We feel that a s department, whose students have done a thorough Patent Search and Analysis study, will do better in their project work. GTU Innovation Council is the first University based Innovation ecosystem to take this massive exercise in hand and early return of the effort is clearly visible as we have started getting more number of applications for patent filing support through our Patent Clinic workshops. The present performance ranking of various departments at various colleges can be interpreted as depicting the sincerity and commitment shown by faculty members, HODs, students and other authorities to ensure better innovations. We are providing the list of branches across colleges based on their performance along with college wise performance chart.
