Classes are small and will not exceed students. Students can transfer up to 90 credits from the community college. Students can complete credits in 1 year. 2 90/30 Program Information The bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (90/30) allows students to transfer up to 90 credits from a regionally accredited institution. The 90/30 in Emergency Services Administration is designed as a foundation for professional growth or graduate education. What is the difference between a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree? The BA requires four semesters of coursework in a modern language and the BS requires 12 credits of science, math or research courses. Check with your advisor to see which option is the right for you. Do I have to earn an associate s degree? It is highly recommended that you complete an associate s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Service Management or Paramedic Care. For admission to the program, you must have completed the equivalent of at least 15 hours of community college course work in the emergency services field. What is the AGEC and why do I need it? The AGEC is the Arizona General Education Curriculum. The AGEC helps with university admission and satisfies 's Liberal Studies and Diversity Requirements. Communication Skills Block In addition to completing an associate's degree and AGEC, completion of the Communication Skills block is also required prior to starting the coursework. Many AGEC requirements can also be used to satisfy the Communication Skills Block. Yes, students can be enrolled at a community college and, however it is recommended to complete all community college coursework first then transition into your coursework. Is there a time limit for when courses no longer count towards a degree? With the exception of computer literacy courses, which have a ten year time limit, there are no time limits on coursework. What will my diploma read if I take all my classes through s Extended Campus program? Your diploma will read that you are a graduate of Northern Arizona University. No distinction is made as to the location from which you earned your degree.

PAS 301 INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC AGENCY ADMINISTRATION 3 credits This course explores the dynamic and unique environment in which public agency administrators operate and the skill set required to be a successful public agency administrator at the local, state, and federal levels of government. PAS 327 THE POLITICS OF BUDGETING 3 credits This course examines public budgeting in the context of its political, institutional, and procedural dimensions. While emphasizing the political implications of the budgetary process, this course presents an overview of budgetary reforms, budget theories and techniques and comparative perspectives of federal, state and local budgeting in the United States.
