Contents of this Press Kit include: Overview History Biographies Products Contact Information Product Flyers (Separate PDF Files) ATMOX is a moisture control system for crawl spaces and attics. ATMOX uses controls, sensors, and fans for proper ventilation.
2 About ATMOX INC ATMOX INC has been solving moisture problems for over fifteen years. The company s initial focus was on reducing moisture and humidity levels in the crawlspace. The company developed its own controls, sensors and fans to properly control ventilation only using outside air when it will improve the conditions in the crawlspace. This technology has now been expanded to incorporate moisture control and heat reduction for attics. ATMOX INC works with resellers, contractors and homeowners across the USA. For information on the ATMOX crawlspace and attic products, visit or call Company History In the mid-1990s, Thomas Huber discovered a widespread problem in the Carolinas - high humidity in crawlspaces - with no solution. It all started when his neighbor's house in Gastonia, North Carolina had a $30,000 repair to its structure due to wood rot and termites caused by high humidity levels in the crawlspace. In talking to the contractor and termite inspector, he realized that his house would be next unless he did something about his own crawlspace. Thomas Huber had a background in mechanical engineering from the prestigious ETH University in Zurich, Switzerland. Not only was he an engineer, but his father, Jakob Huber, was as well. They addressed problems the way engineers do - sit down, think it through, and invent something. The thought was to keep it simple yet effective. Jakob worked with engineering and computer software students in Switzerland to create the first prototypes. Over the years, the system has been optimized several times yet still works on the same basic principle: use the best atmospheric conditions to better ventilate the crawlspace and exchange the air. Businesses always have unusual origins. In this case, the threat of a $30,000 repair prompted the action of two engineers to create a solution to avoid the damage. It turned into a business.
3 Biographies of Key Personnel Steve Michael, Principal Steve Michael is Vice President of ATMOX INC, where he has been working for seven years. He is responsible for the design and implementation of our controlled ventilation systems for crawlspaces and attics. Steve specifically oversees manufacturing and sales of ATMOX products. He has been a speaker and trainer at code official conferences and numerous pest control and mold remediation companies. He is co-inventor of new attic ventilation system. His diverse professional background in various industries is an incredible asset to ATMOX INC. Myriam Breedlove, Principal Myriam Breedlove is President of ATMOX INC, where she has been working for seven years. She is responsible for general business operations including finance and marketing of ATMOX INC. She has a background in financial services and has owned other small businesses. She has an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Thomas Huber, Founder Thomas Huber is the Founder of ATMOX INC. He would consider himself the Head Tinkerer for new product development. He is now semi-retired and serves the company in a consulting capacity related to the research and development of new products. His background is in mechanical engineering, textiles, plastics and the automotive industry. Thomas has a degree from the ETH University in Zurich, Switzerland.
4 ATMOX Products ATMOX CRAWLSPACE: ATMOX Control Sets and Sensors The controls act as the brains behind the moisture control. This is what makes ATMOX unique. Sensors measuring temperature and humidity calculate dew point to determine when to ventilate the crawlspace to improve conditions. Many other parameters in software further enhance operation. Additionally, controls provide a monitoring tool for homeowners. ATMOX Fans ATMOX Fans are designed as exhaust, intake or dead space fans to fully circulate air throughout the crawlspace. Fans also designed for quiet operation and can be adapted to various crawlspace layouts. Most fans are 12V DC and can be powered through low voltage wiring reducing need for electrician during installation. ATMOX ATTIC: ATMOX Control Sets and Sensors The controls act as the brains behind the moisture control and heat reduction. This is what makes ATMOX unique. Sensors measuring temperature and humidity calculate dew point to determine when to ventilate the attic to reduce the heat and to reduce moisture levels. Many other parameters in software further enhance operation. ATMOX Fans ATMOX Fans are designed as exhaust, intake or dead space fans to fully circulate air throughout the attic. Various fan models available for different types of mounting such as roof, ridge vent, gable or soffit openings. Fans are all 12V DC and can be powered through low voltage wiring reducing need for electrician during installation.
