4 Secondary Data Syrian crisis Tremendous numbers of data collectors, managers and analysts for the Syrian crisis: OCHA (Pop & IDPs), UNCHR, UNMAS (clash data), NGOS, immap, HR Organisations etc Multi-layers maps and (geospatial analysis) is of high interest for the mine action community to better protect civilians now and when they will return home. 4

7 Primary data collection Using HI template forms and IMSMA standards as baseline Victim Report Form: Capture information about victims, injury details, cause of injury, and type of treatment received, identify victim social-economical information, and capture incident localization information. Risk Education Report: Upon conducting a risk education session in the community, HI Syrian partners fill this form to capture information related to the type of session conducted, risk education material used and distributed. Demographical information about the community, risk education received before, as well as information on the threat posed by Mines or ERW. Localisation Report: Capture information related to the community, information regarding population, number of shelters, IDPs, level and type of impact and threats. Level of medical services available or provided. Level of physiotherapy services available. Social and economic data that can assist in identifying the needs of the community and help in prioritizing assistance. 7
