The graduates use their gained managerial competencies to develop their own business. Having graduated this program they are able to work successfully either in small business or in large organizational structured corporations, public or private funds, commercial or non-commercial organizations, in international institutions operating within the state or abroad. This is the main reason, that Tbilisi International Academy considers one of the priorities English bachelor s program of Business Administration, especially according to the reality of late 20th century, when there is a great demand for qualified staff in public and private organizations in Georgia. Aim of the Program To prepare such kind of specialists, which can conduct business in the condition of market economy, they will be able to run organizations effectively, set up innovations and have a good sense of business idea

Students have a great chance to master the basic principles of business management, to learn business language, to develop business oriented view and management in modern market system. Learning Outcomes Knowledge and Understanding Student has various theoretical and practical knowledge in business field (Management, marketing, finances and accounting, knows information and communications technology, business operation in the field of statistical methods and techniques) and is aware of their interaction; Knows business and its challenges and changes; Is aware of necessary statistical data in Business field; Is able to identify the important role of state s sustainable development business principles; Knows financial spheres, types, systems and principles; Knows financial terminology; Knows accounting principles, conceptions and methods: Knows marketing, its certain stages of evolution and the role of business marketing and its conceptions; Can run projects according to modern conceptions and has good managerial skills. Practical Skills of Knowledge: Can identify current business operation processes and measure their effectiveness in enterprise/organization; Can identify market opportunities and its relevant actions; Owns the key financial management skills (can prepare financial reports and present them, interpret financial documents, relevant analysis of financial information and establish aimed connections, use accounting systems, prepare budget projects in enterprise/organization, etc.); Can run various businesses: formulate goals and identify their tasks and outcomes; plan and manage frame work; Can plan and organize needed complex events for company; Has skills for identifying and diagnosing enterprise faced problems, and has ability to select certain methods to solve the problems; Can analyze and research marketing business and participate in solving marketing problems by seeking alternative ways; Can make both general and specific management decisions. Has the managerial decision-making, staff development and motivation, new products (service) development and manufacturing, material and non-material flow planning skills; Can see the financial and banking indicators, can carry out various financial and credit activities.

Has skills to analyze indicators of expenses and profits and make appropriate decision; Is able to regulate and estimate marketing system problems; Is able to analyze financial basic concepts, corporate financial policy, tax and financial relations. Communication Skills Owns his views about existed informational problems in a written form and has capacity to interpret it to specialists (and non-specialists); Can analyze existed information and using database represent it by verbal and non-verbal form; Can communicate with field specialists (and not only) according general and professional ethic norms; Can use certain information (theoretical and practical) of business sphere to make abstract and present it; Can conduct verbal and non-verbal communication in general, and related field. Can conduct both verbal and non-verbal communication in a wide spectrum of society in English and one of the foreign language; Can use modern informational and communicational technologies. Learning Skills Can estimate gained knowledge and make decision during study process; Can seek new information about business, collect, work it out and interpret new knowledge; Using certain literature can regularly renew the knowledge. Values Understands special professional values in business sphere; Is aware of the importance of justice in human relations and defends it in business administration process; Respects professional ethic and defends it; Tries to establish new values, which fit public society ethic demands and moral principles. Program Description
4 Bachelor s program includes 4 academic years, 8 terms. In accordance to "Higher education" law, the student has to accomplish 240 ECTS credits. 1 credit equals 25 hours, which includes both academic (contact) hours, as well as independent working hours. All study courses provide a midterm exam and final exam, except bachelor s thesis. Assessments of the details are written in study syllabus. A student, who fails the mid-term and final exam and doesn t get 51 points, has the right to take the additional exam. The student has right to redo the exam, if he/she totally has got points. The student has the right to take an additional examination in the same term. The interval between the final and the additional exams must be at least 10 days. 240 ECTS, which is required to get a bachelor's degree in international relations, is divided as follows: 10ECTS - English Language Component 20ECTS - Foreign Language Component 30ECTS - Obligatory Base Disciplines 120ECTS - Obligatory Specialty Disciplines 30ECTS - Optional Specialty Disciplines 30 ECTS - Free Components Notice: The teaching of modules optional courses and free credits components starts from the fourth term. Optional study can be selected from the module (minimum 30 credits) and free credits (maximum 30 ECTS), foreign language is obligatory, but there is a possibility to select desirable. Student Knowledge Assessment System The assessment of Tbilisi International Academy student s achievement is determined by the sum of weekly evaluations, the mid-term exams evaluations and final exam evaluation. Mid-term Evaluation - Maximum 60 points (team working, activity at lectures, practical exercises, involvement in discussions, presentations, written homework, case studies, quizzes, assignments, etc.). Mid-term exam is held once in a term, and its specific form is defined by the developing of the course syllabus in accordance with the specific subject. Final Evaluation Maximum 40 Points. Specific form of final exam is defined by the author of syllabus and in accordance with the specific of study course. Methods and techniques for the evaluation of the activity are described in the study course syllabuses. Knowledge Assessment and Components Total Assessment 100 point

Positive Assessmet: (A) Exellent - maximum - 91% or more; (B) Very good maximum %; (C) - Good maximum %; (D) Satisfactory maximum is 61-70%; (E) Quite enough maximum is 51-60%; Negative Assessment (FX ) Not satisfactory maximum is 41-50%, it means that does not setisfy the requirements due to significant downsides; (F) Absolutely not satisfactory - maximums is 40% or less, it means that the work done by student is not satisfied at all.

Nowadays, there is a great demand for a qualified specialist in the field of international relations. Therefore, this is the main reason to implement English-Language Bachelor's Program in International Relations at Tbilisi International Academy. The aim of the program is to explore the key issues of international relations, to equip students with the international, modern-oriented knowledge and skills, which will meet the current global processes, to give students modern knowledge of major theoretical issues, trends and approaches, international politics, economics, law, integration and organizations, regional cooperation key issues in international relations, and prepare well qualified specialists for further scientific research of topical issues relating to our country and region; to give them deep knowledge in the above mentioned field and to develop basic scientific skills. Learning Outcomes Knowledge and Understanding Has a general knowledge in the field of International Relations; Knows the relevant terminology of International Relations;
7 Is aware of developing International Relations tendencies, legal processes and related complex issues; Understands various political systems theories; Is aware of current integration processes and involvement of international organizations; Realizes the main essence of law and economics; Knows the role of globalization and regionalization and their impotance in modern International Relations; Knows the key role and place of business relations and mechanism; Practical Skills of Knowledge: Is able to collect database, to check their reliability and use them in practice; Capable to use the gained knowledge and skills in international relations and implement them in particular situations and in solving specific problems. Is able to use typical methods of social sciences to solve the certain kind of problems; According to certain instructions can conduct the practical work and interpret obtained data in the field of international relations; Is able to use the gained skills in understanding the certain kind of problems and their solution; According to the gained knowledge has problem realizing, its definition, development and solving skills. Decision-Making Skills Can search new information from various sources, to work it out and interpret and make proved critical analysis decision; To extent political information and assess its analysis; During the discussion of certain problem bring them in accordance with basic theoretical concepts of international relations To identify, highlight and compare the existed problems in the field of international relations; Can search for problem solving alternative ways, to prove his/her own position, to defend and make decision;
