7 Where am I going? Awareness of admission requirements is VERY important. Post-secondary destination? Work, College, University, Apprenticeship, Training, etc. Exploration of ALL of the possibilities that exist after high school use of guidance resources and technology to search for interesting programs/work/activities.
8 How do I get there? Educational planning choosing the appropriate courses for your abilities and your destination. Consultation with liaison personnel from the institutions you are interested in. Consultation with guidance. Hard work and perseverance! Be realistic!! We all WISH for higher marks.

10 Caution Grade 12 Students! Many times students try to change from an extra math or science class that they have selected but do not really need for entry into university. There are a limited number of spaces that you can change into after we make the timetable. Be realistic and select appropriately NOW to meet the expectations of your selected programs.
11 Grade 12 Special Codes & Reminders! Study Periods: You must have completed 24 credits to be eligible for a Study. STUDY1 study in semester 1 STUDY2 study in semester 2 STUDY study will be scheduled in either semester 1 or 2. DO NOT select STUDY twice if are applying for two STUDY periods. Use Study1 & STUDY2. Watch for pre-requisites!!!!!

16 Post-secondary Destinations Students in Ontario have many options for post secondary training. You can choose from 28 colleges, 21 universities, hundreds of private career colleges and over 140 apprenticeship opportunities.

18 University/College Requirements In order to be considered for University, students will need to successfully complete six Grade Twelve U or M level courses including English (ENG4U1) during the completion of their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Entrance into College usually needs four senior (grade 11 or 12) level courses at C, M, or U including English (ENG4C1). Each program has their own specific criteria, the College books are in Student Services.
