3 ONTARIO UNIVERSITY & COLLEGE APPLICATION TIMELINES Sept 16-17: Hand in Letter-of-Intent (pink form). Oct Nov: Research, gather information, make decisions. Nov 8: Demographic information, final grade 11 & 12 marks sent to Ontario colleges (OCAS) & universities (OUAC). Students attend a tutorial of the online application process & OUAC PIN numbers are distributed. Nov 29: Full disclosure for MHF4U1. Course does not show up on transcript or OUAC/OCAS upload. Jan 15: Deadline to apply online to all Ontario universities. Feb 1: Deadline to apply online to all Ontario colleges. Feb 13: Collection of midterm grades for full-year courses and final grades for first-semester courses. Feb 21: Full disclosure for full-year courses.
4 April 24: Collection of midterm grades for second semester courses and update to midterm grades for full-year courses by OCAS/OUAC. March May: Conditional offers of admission sent out. May 6: May 29: Full disclosure for MCV4U1. Latest date by which all applicants will have heard from an Ontario university/college. June 2: Earliest date by which Ontario universities/colleges may require a response to an offer of admission. You may accept an offer of admission prior to this date, but the post-secondary schools cannot require a response before this date. o July 8: Final grades submitted to OCAS/OUAC.
5 Ontario Universities Fair Sept from 10 am to 5 pm daily at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Details available at: Ontario Colleges Information Fair Oct. 21 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm and Oct. 22 from10 am to 3 pm at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. 6 PROGRAMS, MAJORS, MINORS.. What if I can t decide on my major right now? SUPPORT AWAY FROM HOME What are typical first year class sizes? Is there a career centre to help me find a job on or off campus? LIVING ARRANGEMENTS. What is the size of the campus? Do I have to live in residence first year? Is there public transit nearby? How will I get around the campus? MONEY, MONEY, MONEY What scholarships and bursaries are available to first year students?
7 At you can: Search through programs using the Program Finder function. Rank your program choices. Search for scholarships by various criteria. Locate each university on the map of Ontario. Save your search for later, then return and revise it. Compare the programs that interest you by using the Compare tool.

10 Many arts programs require an audition or submission of a portfolio. Deadlines are different for each program. Check deadlines & prepare material well in advance. In many cases, you need to complete a supplementary application form online. Requests for auditions are completed online as well.
11 Deadline to apply for the fall session of Night School is fast approaching. Virtual school is only available with YRDSB. Night school with other school boards is still available see a counsellor to register Students must bring in the final report card for any non-tdsb night/virtual school credit earned this fall or this past summer.
12 Deadlines vary check individual university websites. Mark collection varies. Some universities collect marks through OUAC: - Bishop s University, UBC, University of Calgary, Concordia, Dalhousie, McGill, UNB, Saint Mary s, Simon Fraser, U of Vic Some universities require a paper copy of a transcript & report card to be submitted directly by the student. If this is the case, see Mrs. Viola and she will assist you.
13 Check out ESA school code: Check individual colleges to see specific requirements: SAT / ACT SAT II subject-specific Deadlines to apply are early: November to January for most schools. Lengthy application packages start earlier.
14 ESA is often able to nominate a student/several students for national or provincial scholarships. Scholarships announced. Students request to be nominated by signing up in Student Services. Scholarship committee of staff reviews applications. A student may only be nominated once.
