1 Chelsea Yondo Parent s Names: Guy and Jackie Yondo GPA: 4.19 Extracurricular: Varsity soccer (4-year starting defender), Club soccer (Grand Rapids Crew Junior), NHS member, Student Council (2-year secretary), Spanish tutoring, varsity cross country, dance, and volunteer work. I enjoy studying history, world cultures, sociology, and playing soccer. My sister is a freshman on varsity with me this year and her company has made this spring season better than any past season for me. I am excited to join the international studies program at MSU next year and I hope to travel more while involved in the program. I visited Italy on a school trip this year and fell in love with the country. I wouldn t mind living in Assisi someday. This fall, I plan to attend James Madison Honors College at Michigan State University with hopes of majoring in International Relations. Sarah Piccard Parents Names: Jane E. Piccard Perry T. Piccard GPA: st chair violist in s Honors String Orchestra, Senior Girl Scout and have earned my Gold Award, Mentoring younger students, Tutoring (Math and Spanish) and National Honor Society member. I love to make crafts. My friends all joke that I have a creative gene and that I can make interesting things no one else can. Many of the crafts I make I donate to St. Mary s Mercy Rehabilitation and Health Center, where they are either given to patients or sold in a craft bazaar to raise money for the nursing home. I also enjoy practicing my viola and reading. I will read pretty much anything, but I prefer science fiction or fantasy. Next year I plan on attending Michigan Technological University, majoring in Chemical Engineering. 2 Erik Jacobson Parents Names: Dawn and John Jacobson GPA: Choralaires, Caledonia Community Players in You re a Good Man Charlie Brown and high school musicals such as Honk!, Seussical the Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, and others, Vice President of the Drama Club and enjoy Tekwondo. My passion is the arts. I love the thrill of being on stage, whether it be in a concert or in a theatrical performance. I am also very interested in pure mathematics and music computer software. Other miscellaneous interests include Taekwondo, where I am a national champion, and just plain old chillin with my friends. Next year I will be attending Western Michigan s Music. I will be majoring in music education, but also hope to continue with music performance or musical theatre. 3 High : Parents Names: GPA: Kendel Grant Tressie and Chuck Grant I run cross country, track, and play lacrosse. I am also an officer of NHS, a member of the student council and participate in the mentor program. I like everything, from being outside and running to jumping on the trampoline. I love sports, spending time with my friends and family, and listening to music. I also have a passion for animals and love playing with my dog Colby. I plan to attend Michigan State University in the fall. I want to go through the college of nursing and then possibly pursue my dream to be a surgeon. I enjoy both listening to and playing music, computers, and hanging out with my friends. I ve played violin for 10 years, started playing drums last year, and am learning the piano. 5 Brad Ahrens Parents Names: Jim and Sandy Ahrens GPA: DECA participant fall 2005, Class Treasurer , Varsity Tennis and Middle tennis program assistant. Throughout high school it was always my goal to do well academically while remaining active inside and outside of school. Tennis is truly a passion of mine and I enjoy competing against other schools while developing my leadership skills as team captain. I am currently involved in Caledonia s Middle tennis program and am excited about strengthening Caledonia s tennis team. I also attend church regularly, and enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am most interested in math and science fields and am excited to continue my education outside of high school. Collee Plans and Major: I plan on attending the University of Michigan this fall, majoring in Accounting. After two years of school I plan on applying to Ross of Business to complete my undergraduate degree. After which, I will complete the Accounting Masters program to become a Certified Public Accountant. Brittany DeVries Parents Names: Jeff and Terrie DeVries GPA: I enjoy volunteering within the community and spend much of my time helping out at church or school. For the past three years, I have spent Interim in Louisiana to help remodel houses in the New Orleans area and this experience really changed my outlook on life. Also, I spend much of my time working as a team trainer at Chuck E. Cheese Some interests that occupy my free time include socializing with my friends, spending time with my family and biking. I am excited to be attending Grand Valley State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Education.
